officials say they received the -- they received a serious threat of violence towards people that lived or worked at the university. around 2:00, officials announced there was no longer a threat that some students say they still have questions. >> u d was able to assess quickly and take action fairly quickly that led them to the conclusion that the individual no longer posed a threat to any individuals on campus. >> i would like an announcement of, we got the person or more than just all clear. or something more to where it is like i can go back to school and i can feel safe. amy: officials say that they could not share real-time information to protect the investigation. they also are not releasing information now about the person who made the threats because they want to protect the privacy of all involved. but they say the campus is safe

and they plan to have classes today, as normal. jobina: the traditional gilroy garlic festival that many have come to love is no more. the festival has not recovered since the deadly shooting of 2019. in 2020, covid canceled the event. now as our reporter explains, future events will be smaller. amanda: very well to the festival that many have grown familiar with. after more than 40 years, financial challenges are foreseeing the organizers to reimagine the time honored tradition for the future. >> the events people have been used to for these 43 years, that model is no longer going to be used. it will be a smaller in more intimate model. reporter: the festival association's current board member cites lingering

reggie: new developments in the disappearance of a woman. prosecutors are accusing a suspect 15 years after the british toddler vanished on a family vacation. after for suspecting her parents, officials have a formally declared a german man as a suspect. madeline was only three years old at the time of her disappearance in 2007. prosecutors in portugal did not release the suspect's name.

german police and 2020 said they were investigating a man in connection with her disappearance. he denies involvement. jobina: police in san jose have identified the suspect in a hit and run crash that killed it to women. they are looking for jose carrillo-huizar, 55, who is on the run. they are asking anyone who knows where he might be to call them immediately. police tracked it down his vehicle, a pickup truck. they say that both the vehicles or in a crosswalk on april 7 when they were hit and killed. today, a congressman will join the housing authority for a tour of affordable housing sites. one of them is agrahood, currently under construction. the other will be in 80 unit community. the congressman is just -- is
