month old in minutes yesterday afternoon. the suspect is someone the baby's family does not recognize. amy hollyfield is live in san jose where police are making a desperate plea to the public for help. amy: we see one officer positioned on elm street to help the family and work on this investigation. they moved operations as they search around-the-clock the baby. here is the surveillance video everyone is talking about, showing the man calmly walking away with the baby at 1:00 yesterday afternoon. he took brandon out of the car where his grandmother left him where she was unloading groceries. fbi agent arrived to help with the investigation after san jose police made a plea for the baby's return. >> today someone is walking

around with a three month old baby they did not have appeared please give the baby back to the mother. we can deal with the consequences other could anybody who is a mother or father, you don't love anyone more than their child. this mother is going through a very bad time as where as -- as well as grandma. grandma was in charge of the baby and the baby is now gone. amy: her mother -- his mother was at work at the time. the grandmother was watching the baby. the father is out of the picture. he is incarcerated. they did not issue an amber alert because they do not have a car description. right now they just have surveillance video of the kidnapping. they are asking residents to check their cameras and see if they got a shot of the car or anything that could be useful in

moment in a car that was allegedly street racing crashed into a school bus. authorities released this video. >> dramatic new video from inside a school bus during a terrifying crash. 23 students on board the bus in albuquerque back in february period mustang which police say was racing hitting the rear tire causing it to flip over. the children are violently thrown from one side to the other. seven were sent to the hospital. the children on the bus could have died because people were literally just having fun in their sports car. >> coming up, we take a look at the question of seatbelts on school buses and whether experts believe they could prevent moments like this from happening again. >> if there could be seatbelts on the school buses, that would

a man calmly walking away with the baby who was still in his car seat. police say the man took brandon out of his apartment. his grandmother had taken the baby into the apartment in his car seat and then she had gone back outside to unload groceries from the car when the baby was taken. residents on elm street in san jose can't believe it happened and really can't believe the calm nature of the man on the video. >> if he saw the video, he was walking down the space map and in a jacket and almost knew what he was looking for a what he wanted to do because he didn't look around. he just seemed like pick up the baby, leave. amy: brandon is three months old. he has been missing since 1:00 yesterday afternoon. his mother was at work at the time. his grandmother was taking care of him. brandon's father is incarcerated.

police say they will be questioning him and talking to the mother for any clues about who could have done this. at this time it appears a stranger took the baby. again, we are watching a car being told wondering if this is part of the investigation. police are throwing every resource available at this investigation. the fbi is also involved. they have also put out a plea to the abductor to please safely return the baby so he can be reunited his family. that is the plea police are putting out that he would just return this baby. reporting live in san jose, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. julian: president biden marking a second chance at the white house. he will commute the sentences for violent drug offenses. it is for people who working toward rehabilitation.

the administration will continue to deliver reforms that give equity and and hands they will help eakin safety of americans. karina: a judge has temporarily locked the biden administration from ending title 42, border security and the pandemic. jobina has more on what this could mean for the president. jobina: title 42 allows for u.s. border officials to block migrants from entering the country due to public health concerns. critics of removing the order say it is likely to cause a greater surge of migrants at an already stressed border. president biden wants to end the policy on may 23. the white house says the federal judge's block may not block the plans. >> there are a range of views on title 42. there are some who are very vocal would like to see them extended and some uncle about how they would not like to see
