you are watching a special edition of abc7news on abc seven, hulu live and wherever you stream. sideshow chaos this weekend in san francisco. a crowd took over downtown streets, creating a scary wake-up call for neighbors. cornell barnard heard from those neighbors who say they have had enough. >> it was insane. i was just at my apartment, i got home from a flight and was trying to sleep. >> this is what will decker and hundreds of neighbors woke up to sunday. a big sideshow burning rubber across the intersection of main and harrison near the bay bridge. >> my window was completely closed last night and you could smell the rubber. it was brutal. fireworks going off in the intersection. loud tires screeching. it was a nightmare. >> you heard a [tires screeching

sound effects] >> these telltale skid were left behind. >> 500 may be 600 people appeared maybe more. >> neighbors grabbed video showing lineups for blocks and blocks. deli owner samhan bosch says other sideshows have happened before. >> the city needs to do something. they need to start throwing cars away. they need to get the police here on time. >> witnesses say police arrived about 15 minutes after the illegal sideshow began. in many cases, officers are odd-numbered. >> not only are we outnumbered, but more than likely we are outgunned. people are bringing automatic weapons to these events. firing off indiscriminately. >> another sideshow was reported about the same time across town at geneva and alamein he.

seek approval of a biden administration request that would allow the u.s. to seize billions in assets of russian oligarchs and donate the proceeds to ukraine. we are hearing today from the family of a rookie san jose police officer who died last month from a fentanyl overdose. santa clara county coroner ruled fentanyl toxicity into it it to the death of dejon packer. he was found dead in milpitas. family members said a statement reading, "there was no indication that dejean was involved in illicit activity. he was heavily against it he joined the san jose police department to make a difference in his community and did not want police to be seen as a negative entity. they also told us they want packer remembered as someone who brought good to this world.

we will see some approaching showers up north in northern mendocino county around 5:00 a.m. those will dissipate by 7:00. not likely to hit the bay area. and then on we go with a breezy day and much cooler tomorrow. or night, low temperatures drop into the mid to upper 40's in most locations. a little bit milder in antioch, only 53 degrees. highs tomorrow will range from 57 at half moon bay to 62 in san francisco. most locations will top out around 65 or 66. east bay, mainly low 70's. in fairfield, 76 will be the high tomorrow. generally we are not expecting inland highs above 72 tomorrow. we talked about the sharp cool off tomorrow. look at the sharp warm-up tuesday. mid 80's inland. wednesday, the warming continues. we will see low 90's and -- in the warmest locations.
