>> the country may be on the brink of an end to the constitutional right to an abortion and sending the issue back to the states. we have team coverage again this morning. senior national correspondent terry moran starts us off. he is there at the supreme court. good morning, terry. >> reporter: good morning, robin. the shock waves are still reverberating around here after that leak of the document that shows the supreme court is about to overturn roe versus wade looks poised to do so and for the first time in history roll back a previously granted constitutional right and the leak itself is a wound to this court. it is not a judicial act but a political act and they are starting an investigation to see how it came out. overnight protesters gathered nationwide following that unprecedented leak that showed the supreme court could be poised to overturn roe versus wade. [ crowd chanting ] after politico published a draft opinion dated february 10th that appears to show five

conservative justices are prepared to upend nearly half a century of abortion rights precedent. chief justice john roberts announced in a statement that he has directed the marshal of the supreme court to investigate how the document written by samuel alito was made public calling it a betrayal of the confidences of the court. republicans including mitch mcconnell said they wanted to know the source of the leak. >> one of the court's most essential and sacred features was smashed. >> reporter: democrats are focusing on the real prospect a woman's constitutional right to have an abortion could soon come to an end. >> the republicans have been working toward this day for decades. >> reporter: overnight vice president kamala harris told the abortion rights advocacy group emily's list that they're trying to weaponize the law against women. >> how dare they tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her own body. >> reporter: in the draft

opinion, justice alito scorns the 1972 roe versus wade ruling as egregiously wrong from the start but a new abc news/"washington post" poll finds that 70% of americans say the decision whether a woman can have an abortion should be left to her and her doctor. 58% believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases. and 54% say the court should uphold roe compared with 28% who say the ruling should be overturned. the leaked opinion was written on behalf of five conservative justices. politico reports alito joined by justices clarence thomas, neil gorsuch, brett kavanaugh and amy coney barrett. three of them appointed by president trump. they were pressed about whether they would overrule roe versus wade at their confirmation hearings. >> one of the important things to keep in mind about roe v. wade is that it has been reaffirmed many times over the past 45 years. >> reporter: republican senator susan collins of maine, a supporter of abortion rights, was a critical vote for

kavanaugh and gorsuch but in a statement she says, she may have been deceived. if this leaked draft opinion is the final decision and this reporting is accurate, it would be completely inconsistent with what justice gorsuch and justice kavanaugh said at their hearings and in our meetings in my office. and republican senator lisa murkowski also a supporter of roe -- >> if it goes in the direction that this leaked copy has indicated, i will tell you that it rocks my confidence in the court right now. >> reporter: that draft opinion dated february 10th, now drafts can change, sometimes votes can change but all signs point to the fact that this conservative majority looks ready to end roe once and for all. robin? >> how will this investigation into the leak, how will it play out? >> reporter: the marshal of the court, lead law enforcement officer here, is going to conduct that investigation. it's really a pretty small universe of people who would have had access to this document and they may be able to determine something from what politico printed.

it's of the photostat copies of the document itself that may have tell tale signs of the kind of computer, perhaps even where in the building it came from. but it is going to be tough and it will be tough to conduct a criminal investigation because it's hard to say what crime happened here. this was always an honor system at the court and that's done. >> we'll ask dan abrams about that, about the legal ramifications, possible ramifications, in a moment. thank you, terry. we have more reaction from the administration now. senior white house correspondent mary bruce has the latest for us. good morning, mary. >> reporter: good morning, robin. well, president biden is describing this as a radical decision saying if this holds it goes, quote, way overboard but the reality here this morning is that the president's options are very limited. there simply is little he can do to counter this if this decision goes through and the white house is well aware of that. the president is calling for congress to pass legislation guaranteeing the right to an abortion but he just doesn't have the votes right now to get this done. a point the president himself

seemed to acknowledge yesterday. so, robin, instead the president is using his megaphone and the power of the presidency to look ahead to november and the midterms urging all americans to get out and back candidates who support abortion rights. the president noting that if roe is overturned and this issue goes back to the states it will be up to the nation's elected officials to protect a woman's right to an abortion. and the president is also warning that if this decision does, in fact, happen, that the ramifications will go far beyond just the issue of abortion and could limit and curb other freedoms as well. george? >> okay, mary, thanks very much. more from our congressional correspondent rachel scott. so we know this will go back to the states if roe v. wade is overturned. a lot of states are ready to severely limit or ban abortion. >> reporter: yeah, george. this is a seismic shift. women would be waking up to a whole new reality. if roe versus wade is overturned at least 26 states including t here iohio would ban abortion and abortion providers say those

who are suddenly outraged aren't paying attention. already 13 states have passed so-called trigger laws that would ban abortion as soon the supreme court allows it. no exceptions for rape or incest, only to save the life of a mother. >> you're seeing states on both sides of the issue prepared to move even before the final decision comes. >> reporter: yeah, you have blue states looking to protect access to abortion. you have red states looking to restrict it and democrats are really scrambling to try to find a way to offset some of the wave of abortion laws that we are seeing taking place and sweeping the country so the governor there in connecticut hoping a sign to safeguard abortions that would protect providers from out-of-state lawsuits but in oklahoma the governor doing the option signing a bill that bans it as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, before many women know they are pregnant and that is effective immediately, george. >> and already seeing the impact in oklahoma. >> reporter: already seeing the impact.

abortions in that state will all but stop. but i think it's really important to note here that this does not stop abortions entirely. women will go through whatever hurdle, whatever length necessary in order to have a choice, including traveling hundreds of miles out of state. right now we are seeing abortion deserts sweep across the middle part of the country and what abortion providers fear most for the women who do not have the option, who do not have the means to travel hundreds of miles, george. >> rachel scott, thanks very much. let's bring in chief legal analyst dan abrams. president biden suggested same-sex marriage, other rights could be in jeopardy in the wake of this opinion as well. justice alito took pains to kind of take that off the table. tried to take it off the table. >> he specifically says this does not apply to intimate sexual relations, contraception and marriage. but just because he is saying it's not supposed to apply to it, it doesn't mean that someone can't come back to the court and say, let's use the exact same reasoning that you used in the abortion decision and apply it in a different context, because

in essence what the court would be saying in this case is, all of that 14th amendment analysis, all those times we said there was this particular privacy interest, maybe that doesn't apply anymore. it doesn't exist in the constitution, per se. alito is saying, it doesn't apply there, but it's hard to figure out how the reasoning wouldn't also apply in some of these other cases. >> some people are wondering about ivf. >> well, the issue with ivf is the -- particularly is the freezing of the embryos, right, because if a state declares that life begins at conception, then it becomes very difficult to figure out how it would be legal to freeze and potentially destroy embryos. so it is possible, it could have an impact on ivf. it depends on exactly what the state lays out in terms of the definitions as to when life begins. >> let's talk about the leak investigation. could someone be criminally charged? >> could be but i think terry is right. it's hard to figure out exactly what the crime is.

this is not a classified document, right? typically we see people prosecuted who leak classified information. that's not what this is. this wasn't declared classified. there was no top secret mentioned on the top. here you're talking about what would be the crime? is it possible someone removed a government document from the building? that's possible. obstruction of justice possible but i think all unlikely. >> in the unlikely but explosive possibility that a justice had something to do with this, they could be impeached. >> that's true and it is tantalizing the possibility that it was a justice, him or herself. >> don't want to think about that. >> all right. >> dan, thank you so much. we appreciate you. we'll turn now to the latest on the war with ukraine. russian forces are escalating attacks across the country. in mariupol some residents are safe this morning after weeks in underground shelters. our senior foreign correspondent ian pannell is in ukraine. good morning, ian. >> reporter: yeah, good morning, michael. russia launching hundreds of attacks across ukraine as you say demonstrating there is no

real safe place for the people of the country but the kremlin's troops on the ground are facing real trouble against a determined resistance. this morning, russian forces try to expand their attacks across ukraine hitting the western city of lviv. at the besieged steel plant in mariupol russian forces launching an attack on the shattered complex. the remaining ukrainian fighters making a last stand with as many as 200 civilians believed to be still taking refuge there. so far over 150 people have been evacuated from the steel plant and are now safely in ukrainian controlled territory. anna was among those able to flee. she and her family were at the plant for two months taking refuge in a bunker with 30 others. [speaking foreign language] they were constantly shelling us, she says. during the day time or nighttime the kids didn't sleep. they were crying. she didn't think they'd make it out alive.

to the northeast here in kharkiv, firefighters rushing to extinguish flames at a park in the city, and every day the number of the dead and injured grow. 15-year-old kyra was with two friends when she was badly wounded by shrapnel as a shell landed nearby. are your friends who were injured, they okay? >> no. [speaking foreign language] >> reporter: she says, one of my friends has already left the hospital but the boy she was with died. this is the trauma so many ukrainians must live with. in a country where childhood can now be dangerously short. well, elsewhere the european union proposing a potential ban on all russian oil. russia gains hundreds of millions of dollars a day from oil exports to the european union. this still has to go through but could be a hammer blow to russia's economy and its war machine. robin? >> we'll see what happens, ian. thank you. now to the latest on wnba star brittney griner. the state department now saying she should not have been detained in russia on drug charges. whit johnson is here now to explain what it means for the

but right now the breaking news overnight, comedian dave chappelle attacked on stage while performing at the hollywood bowl. the suspect was reportedly armed with a gun and a knife. kaylee hartung is there with the latest. good morning, kaylee. >> reporter: good morning, george. dave chappelle has been known to stir controversy but this chaotic scene was not meant to be a part of his show. walking into the hollywood bowl last night you were supposed to check your cell phone. of course, some made it in and captured this shocking attack on dave chapelle. overnight superstar comedian dave chappelle tackled on stage in the middle of a performance at the hollywood bowl. >> at the hollywood bowl. suspect armed with a gun and knife. >> suspect wearing a black hat, blue flannel and gray pants. >> reporter: according to the lapd the assailant, who was in

the audience carrying a knife and a gun, climbed on to the stage and attacked chapelle in the middle of his set. the man then ran behind a screen on stage. chapelle reported to the audience the man was being stalked. the suspect was immediately dtained by the security team and later taken to the hospital with superficial injuries. abc news has learned chris rock, who performed earlier in the night, came back on stage with chappelle moments after the attack and joked, was that will smith? referencing the infamous slap he received from the movie star on oscar night. chappelle and rock were performing in the comedy showcase, netflix is a joke festival. and there was a star-studded crowd to witness this. in addition to chris rock, jon stewart also performed and jamie foxx was here too. he actually ran on stage and helped security stop the attacker. at the end of the show chappelle thanked foxx and foxx said of chappelle, we must protect him

accused killer and this morning, an urgent warning from one of his victims. we'll speak exclusively with the sheriff in charge of this case in a moment, but first, eva pilgrim is in florence, alabama, with more. good morning, eva. >> reporter: good morning, michael. these two have been on the run for five days now. there are tips coming in, but investigators call these two armed and dangerous. as the urgent manhunt for the couple intensifies, a first look at the moment a corrections officer and a capital murder suspect left an alabama jail. officer vicki white holding the door open for casey white as they exit lauderdale county detention center. you see her patrol car in the background driving away. >> when they left, they left out through this door. >> reporter: that patrol car later found abandoned in a nearby parking lot. the two who are not related on the run since friday. the pair leaving on what the sheriff says was supposed to be vicki's last day before retirement. the sheriff's office now

confirming that the veteran officer and suspect were romantically involved. >> the reason these relationships become so intense is that inmates have all the time in the world to manipulate people and if they can find a vulnerable person that then becomes infatuated with them, they can convince them to do all sorts of irrational and self-destructive things. >> reporter: vicki, a 56-year-old divorcee, had an unblemished record according to her colleagues. her relationship with casey allegedly sparked in 2020 while casey awaited trial in the murder of connie ridgeway. the sheriff saying they stayed in contact even after casey changed facilities. this morning, the u.s. marshal is releasing these photos of a recently purchased 2007 ford edge they think the pair may be using. authorities also warning the pair may be armed with an ar-15, handguns and a shotgun. >> all you need is one realtime lead and you may well catch them.

personally and what have her colleagues or those close to her told you about her behavior in the days before she disappeared, sir? >> i did know vicki and have known her well for the last seven years. she was very well liked, respected, a hard worker, an unblemished record for the 17 years she's been with this sheriff's office, and it's just really a shock and devastating to all of her co-workers and to myself. >> as you just said, unblemished record, according to you. now there's a warrant out for her arrest. when did you realize that she participated and how did you figure that out? >> well, the piece of the puzzle just came together. i think all of our employees and myself included were really hoping that she did not participate in this willingly. but all indications are that she absolutely did. we're very disappointed in that because we had the utmost trust

in her as an employee and as an assistant director of corrections, so, you know, we just -- we just still are dealing with that. all of our employees are. >> we keep hearing over and over that people are just shocked. they just didn't see that coming from her. but you believe that she and casey white had -- she and casey had a romantic relationship. how did you come to that conclusion? >> we know they had a relationship. he was in our facility back in 2020 for his arraignment on the charges he's facing now. he was returned to the department of corrections and we know that they maintained contact while he was in the department of corrections up to and including until he was returned here february 25th of this year. >> and so that was the communication that they had in the past. he's 6'9". he is hard to miss. and was she supposed to be transporting inmates alone like that, especially a murder

suspect, as i said, who's 6'9"? >> she has occasionally transported, you know, inmates with lesser offenses. oftentimes the vans would be at the courthouse and a judge would say, we need this inmate or that inmate and if there's one inmate, she would put them in her car and transport them up there. it's just a four-block drive. this particular guy and someone with these charges, no, that should have never happened even if we had to delay getting him to court. >> that's the thought from a lot of folks. we know she recently sold her home for under market value. have you received any tips, any leads about where they could be headed? >> no, we actually don't have any idea where they might be. we were making some good progress on that. we may be hindered now that some of that information has gotten out. but, you know, we're still working around the clock to locate them and try to get them back in custody.

senator who thought he was too young to have a stroke until it happened to him. talk about the lifesaving decision he made. this is an exclusive interview and dr. ashton is here with warning signs we should look out for. first, we have a lot of news this morning starting with the fallout over the leak from the supreme court. the country may be on the brink of an end to the constitutional right to an abortion and sending the issue back to the states as abortion rights demonstrations grow outside the court and all around the country. let's go back to our senior national correspondent, terry moran. good morning, again, terry. >> reporter: good morning, robin. this leak of a draft opinion from the court is unprecedented and it reveals two big things. first, the conservative majority is prepared to do something no court has ever done, roll back a previously granted constitutional right, and that there is an insider who has betrayed the institution. [ crowd chanting ] overnight, protesters gathered nationwide following that unprecedented leak that showed the supreme court could be poised to overturn roe versus wade. [ crowd chanting ] >> reporter: after politico published a draft opinion that

dated february 10th that appears to show five conservative justices are prepared to upend nearly a half century of abortion rights precedents. chief justice john roberts announced in a statement that he has directed the marshall of the supreme court to investigate how the document written by justice samuel alito was made public, calling it a betrayal of the confidences of the court. republicans including mitch mcconnell said they wanted to know the source of the leak. >> one of the court's most essential and sacred features was smashed. >> reporter: democrats are focusing on the real prospect that a woman's constitutional right to have an abortion could soon come to an end. >> the republicans have been working toward this day for decades. >> reporter: in the draft opinion, justice alito scorns the 1972 roe versus wade ruling as egregiously wrong from the start. but a new abc news/"washington post" poll finds that 70% of americans say the decision whether a woman can have an abortion should be left to her and her doctor.

58% believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases. and 54% say the court should uphold roe compared with 28% who say the ruling should be overturned. the leaked opinion was written on behalf of five conservative justices, three of them appointed by president donald trump. they were pressed about whether they would overrule roe versus wade at their confirmation hearings. republican senator susan collins of maine, a supporter of abortion rights, was a critical vote for kavanaugh and gorsuch but in a statement she says she may have been deceived. it would be completely inconsistent with what justice gorsuch and justice kavanaugh said at their hearings and in our meetings in my office. and republican senator lisa murkowski, also a supporter of roe -- >> if it goes in the direction this leaked copy has indicated, i will tell you it rocks my confidence in the court right now. >> reporter: so this leaked

document is a first draft and normally that means the language might change. the argument might change, even a vote might change, but in this case, all signs point to the end of roe. michael? >> very unsettling. thank you so much, terry. now to the unruly passenger duct taped to his seat after assaulting several frontier airline crew members last summer. the 23-year-old has now been sentenced to 60 days in jail. he admitted to drinking on the frontier flight from philly to miami, pleading guilty to three counts of assault. this as unruly passenger cases soared during the pandemic and this year there have already been more than 1,200 reports of unruly passengers. george? to the economy now and the federal reserve is expected to raise interest rates to battle inflation as job openings hit an all-time high. back to rebecca jarvis. good morning, rebecca. >> reporter: good morning, george. and this is the state of our economy. on the one hand you have inflation at 40-year highs. on the other hand you have those

job openings, the highest on record, 11.5 million job openings for the 6 million unemployed. american workers so optimistic about this economy that they are voluntarily quitting their jobs in record numbers, more than 4.5 million people last month. the federal reserve is trying to keep prices from continuing to climb. to take things off this current path, what they have to do is increase interest rates, hike rates, and they plan to do that. largely expected to hike them by half a percent later today. what that will ultimately mean, the cost of borrowing goes up, everything from your credit card to a new car loan to a new mortgage. if you have an adjustable rate mortgage, that goes higher. the ultimate goal here is to stabilize prices, but in order to achieve that goal, they have t tamp down demand. they have to get americans buying less and that is why they are increasing interest rates here. guys? >> all right, rebecca. thanks for your reporting. coming up, with the fight for abortion rights raging we hear from some women who have

women having to travel out of state to have the procedure. rachel scott spoke to women who have already made that journey and is back with their stories. good morning, rachel. >> reporter: hey, robin, good morning. past studies show nearly one in four women will get an abortion by the time they turn 45, and with more states restricting access to abortion, more women are showing just how far they will go to have a choice. this morning as the future of roe versus wade hangs in the balance, women are sharing their own personal stories with abortion. >> they'll call you when they're ready. >> thank you. >> reporter: for 39-year-old nicole that meant traveling from oklahoma to this clinic in wichita, kansas, for an abortion last month. >> to go over a consent form that is required for abortions in the state of kansas. >> okay. >> reporter: the clinics in oklahoma were booked out for weeks dealing with the flood of patients from texas where a strict ban is in place. >> what was that conversation like on the phone when you were trying to schedule that appointment? >> i was devastated. and as i was crying, she was amazing. she's like, you know what, we

can't do it here but i can help you find a different facility. it's going to be in a different state. >> reporter: we met back up with nicole, a single mother of two in oklahoma after her appointment. make it work.find a way >> i can barely make ends meet at the moment. i'm willing to do whatever ia necessary because there's no way i can afford another baby. >> reporter: oklahoma has now banned abortion as early as six weeks and republicans say stricter bills could soon head to the governor's desk. >> you say this is a state of emergency here. >> i do. as long as innocent life is being lost, i believe there's a state of emergency. >> my goal is to make sure that the state of oklahoma does -- outlaws abortion. >> reporter: last year we followed maddie across state lines from texas to mississippi, to the clinic now at the center of the supreme court case. >> my decision hasn't wavered. it's my body and it's my choice. >> reporter: this is one of the most divisive issues across the

little boss baby. i call her boss baby. >> last thing, help parents with the balance between encouraging versus realities of the world. >> first of all, as parents we're all different. i don't think any of us have cracked the code on perfection. from a parenting perspective, there is a fine line of supporting a dream and also making sure there's work done outside of that dream. have other eggs in the basket but killing -- killing the thing that someone has a pure amount of joy in doing, that's never a good thing. that's never a good thing because that's purpose. that's reason. there's reason to smile. there's reason to be happy. especially after so many people have been vocal about just not having that joy or wanting to find that joy. that's something that is desired, so you have to understand that we don't know it all. we don't. and these kids are going to show you some things whether you want to admit it or not, they are. granted, don't act shocked when they show you. keep your cool.

[ laughter ] she is. she plays -- yeah, she plays who she plays so, yeah. >> what do you hope strange's life will be or future will be in this new phase of mcu? >> i mean, he's pretty up front and center at the moment. i think he's becoming one of the well established characters in the pantheon and this phase they're going into, he's the guy cracking it open so i'm having great fun playing him. >> we got to say -- >> it seems. >> it seems and we know you play a superhero on screen but offscreen you and your wife sophie hunter, you're opening up your home to ukrainian refugees. >> yeah. >> i mean that's really, really special.

we are back with national we are back with national stroke awareness month. nearly 800,000 people have strokes each year and up to 15% of them are under the age of 50. including new mexico senator ben ray lujan. rachel scott sat down with him for an exclusive interview and back with that. good morning, rachel. >> reporter: hey, george. good morning. when senator ben ray lujan suffered a stroke, it sent shock waves through capitol hill. he's 49 years old, he's young, active, never thought that this could happen to him and that's the exact reason why he is sharing his story for the first time. it was a health scare senator ben ray lujan never saw coming. you're 49 years old. >> uh-huh. >> was stroke something you could think could happen to you at this age. >> i never thought it was a stroke.

that wasn't on my mind at all. >> reporter: this morning, the new mexico senator opening up for the first time since suffering a stroke in january. sharing his story in our exclusive interview. >> it felt like you just got off a roller coaster or merry go round and i thought, you just need to sleep this off. one of the biggest mistakes people make when they get an early sign of a stroke. >> reporter: he was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a stroke in the cerebellum and told he needed decompressive surgery to ease the swelling in his brain. >> that's where it really set in to me, like this is serious. >> reporter: the senator was flooded with support from the doctors by his side to senators on both sides of the aisle on capitol hill. >> we're praying for you. >> a message for one of our leaders, get better soon. >> what did that outpouring of support mean to you? >> that's humbling. senator booker was sending inspirational videos and i

looked forward to them and the first time i saw them i was bawling. and for someone of his stature to stop what they're doing to tell you a story, that's an example of the kind of humanity and generosity that you see from other people. >> reporter: and with intensive physical therapy, lujan was able to return to capitol hill just five weeks after his stroke. he was greeted with a bipartisan standing ovation. [ applause ] now sharing this message, during national stroke awareness month. >> learn about strokes. learn about this. learn those early signs and don't be so tough that you say you can sleep it off. it's a big mistake. >> reporter: lujan says he's grateful he never lost his ability to speak. his doctors say he was able to recover so quickly in part because he did not wait too long to go to the doctor. that early detection was a lifesaving decision, george. >> rachel, thanks very much. dr. jen ashton is here, jen, we've done this segment many times and talk about strokes all the time but this story reminds us why it's so important of the you have to know what those telltale signs are. >> you do.

and denial is almost ubiquitous. it can't be happening. it must be something else. we try to be tough. better to be wrong than dead so you really want to recognize what those symptoms are and we use an acronym that goes by f.a.s.t. if one side of the face is drooping, arms, have numbness or weakness in one or both arms, speech is slurred or have difficulty getting words out and timing. this is probably the hardest part. when this happens you want to make note of the time even write it down or say it to someone else, time matters. there is a saying in the emergency room, time equals brain and some treatments are off the table if it's been too long. >> time matters, what do you do? >> you know, we can't emphasize this enough. call 911. get to an emergency room. every single hospital has a stroke team. why do they do that? because people are mobilized to

get imaging tests to start interventions to evaluate a patient because literally minutes matter so that is the bottom line. >> how about prevention? >> it really depends what type of stroke you're talking about. in general we divide this up into strokes that are caused by a blood clot or strokes that are caused by a hemorrhage. if you talk about the risk factors for a clot, there's a long list but it could be things like hormones, either birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy or even pregnancy, recent surgery, obesity, recent covid-19, if you talk about hemorrhagic stroke, high blood pressure, blood thinners are the classic ones and in general, risk goes up with age, smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol, but this story, george, reminds us, young people can and do have strokes so do not think because you're young, you are immune to this. >> which is why this advice is so important. thanks very much. let's go to ginger. >> thank you, george. may the 4th be with you. we are protected well here in the stormtroopers and because we have a commitment to the imperial cause i figured i'd give you all a personal forecast. look. it was whatever we had left over. >> no, it wasn't. >> i digress. so onions and garlic, right with a little bit of oil, once those get translucent, you can add your spices, robin, jump in there. you've got cumin, chili pepper, you've got salt and pepper and the heat will really release the flavors of those. so that sautes for a little bit. when onions get translucent add veggies and beans. you've got garbanzo beans, black beans, you can use any bean you want. used to use kidney beans, my worst nightmare so we exchanged those. canned tomato toss, canned corn, really easy, right? i mean, all of this. how are we doing? >> so far so good. >> what was it like cooking together growing up? did she help? >> well, actually i used to banish lara from the kitchen. >> you did? >> yeah, she was on cleanup duty. >> was she?

oh, well, that's a story. >> after we get this what about the cheese? >> then we add the cheese. >> this has to boil so to really get all the flavors. then you add a cup of shredded cheddar and sour cream. i mean it's really like honestly a great chili and again a vegetarian version. you can do this keto. you can do this however you want. cowboy casserole, i looked it up. you never knew why it was called -- it was from the chuck wagon. it was in the old wild, wild west which is kind of like how it was at our house. >> very true. >> so this all -- this goes into a casserole dish. >> okay. >> which we would scoop in there. i'll save us the time. >> this is what it is. >> this is what it is. it bakes for how long, mom. >> about a half an hour. >> about a half an hour. >> now, my mom used to bake it with the biscuits raw, put it on raw. >> that's what the --
