shut down highway 24 leading on to 680. this is the exact part of this flyaway where the man is sitting on the edge of the freeway in between the fork here. this is an elevated section where the ramp from 24 splits into northbound 680 and another elevated ramp goes to the ignacio valley exit and that is where the man who appears agitated waving his arms. he is sitting lying standing in that fork up there and there have been drones flying overhead looking for whatever they can see from up there as to what this man's actions are and what they should do next now, you can imagine it's rush hour. you can get on to 680 south and you can get off on walnut creek's mountain. diablo boulevard exit, but it's an excruciating backup. traffic is backed up eastbound on 24 all the way back to rock

francisco has an alert about attempts to course young boys into sharing sexually explicit material online. have seen an increase in victimization. we've we've seen the numbers that we just haven't seen over the years it's not just specific to area and we're seeing it kind of across the country. it's commonly called sex extortion. that's when a predator will pretend to be a young girl in an effort to get a boy. typically a teenager to send sexually explicit videos or pictures. the predator then threatens to post them online in an effort to extort the victim for money. the fbi advises parents to make sure children are cautious about whom they're interacting with online new details now on the death of mario gonzalez who died in alameda police custody findings of the city's independent investigation were released today in april of 2021 gonzalez los consciousness after officers struggled to restrain him and pinned him down face down. we learned today that port says

university investors, john and andor donated 1.1 billion dollars to the university abc 7 news reporter. zach fuentes explains how the money will be used and has reaction from students and staff. new faculty new facilities and a new institute are all of the addition stanford university says are on the way with the new school of sustainability planned to launch september 1st. the school now said to be named dorr after tech investor john doran his wife and who have donated 1.1 billion dollars. i think it's an exciting

reminder that tinder dry grasses make much of our region vulnerable to wildfires abc 7 news reporter david louis tells us how fire agencies are gearing up for what could be another destructive fire season. the signs are all around us wild grasses are tender dry. fire season is here the 2020 ccu lightning complex fire served as a wake-up call. area is considered safe best practices from that fire are now being deployed in san mateo county including an early alert system called zone haven to give residents notification when they must evacuate everybody has a zone and so in the event of a wildfire zone haven would be enacted in residents could log on to zone haven get an alert on their phone or their computer and know when it's it when it's time for them to evacuate and places like woodside in portola valley. there are limited evacuation routes. heating alerts will enhance safety a lot of roadways here in this area are inadequate. they can't handle the capacity and if people want to get out
