you just reported on alarming, so they want to take action. today, the santa clara county water district will discuss possibly using water cops. water cops would patrol neighborhoods and look for people who are wasting water, using too much. they would be looking for people who water their lawns so much the water runs into the street, water too many days a week. fine the water district says it is looking at the possibility because of the trend in water use. they call it alarming, saying the data is a showing water use is going in the wrong direction. people are using too much when they need to be conserving. they say california is in a serious drought emergency, and they need people to do their part. officials say many of the wealthiest areas in the county are the ones using the most water.

reggie: oakland public safety committee will meet today to talk about hiring and retaining police officers, coming amid a spike in armed robberies. there were at least two dozen in the city within 72 hours. friday to sunday, 20 robberies, four carjackings and an attempted robbery and attempted carjacking. most cases, criminals were armed with a knife or gun. police say they have arrested three people in connection with at least seven of the cases. two parents are facing serious charges after the death of their 15-month-old daughter. she was found unresponsive and santa rosa yesterday and later died at the hospital. the reason you are seeing the hazmat suit is because investigators found fentanyl in multiple places in the home,

including the bed the girl shared with her parents. an autopsy will be done this week to figure out exactly how the toddler died. kumasi: new details about the woman accused of kidnapping a three month old from his grandmother in san jose. the employer says she she lied to him the day before last month, he worked as a custodian cleaning businesses and she told her in oil that she was not able -- employer that she was not able to come to work because she had to go to the police station to identify suspect who had broken into her apartment. there was a video to back up her story. >> the day of the kidnapped, she called me around 1:28 to ask me what area i would place her to clean because i rotate my employees. i told her she needed to go to the same area. take inside her home.'s sheshe said to guess. they went inside her home to steal the baby. kumasi: the employer did not
