live, breaking news. >> that breaking news is in napa where a wild fire is burning in the hills just north of the famous silverado resort. calfire says structures are threatened on old soda springs road in that area, evacuations have been ordered. about 100 acres have burned near large estates. we have seen a plane attacking the flames from the air. it is to the north of the city of napa and east of the

silverado trail. calfire is calling it the old fire. joining us is sure oscar ordinance. thank you for coming on. what can you tell us? >> ortiz. sorry. i can tell you that this was on old soda springs road. at that time it was described as about a 5 acre fire. we initially started with a couple of deputies. there are significant calfire air resources and ground resources. we have now about 20 deputies in the area. the road is closed. it is at the beginning of soda

canyon road. that is the road that old soda springs road feeds off of. we have a road closure. soda canyon road goes up the mountain and then we have mandatory evacuations. that is what the deputies are doing. >> how many people are roughly being evacuated? >> i don't have a good number for you. we are looking at ranches. we are in the dozens. we do have animal resources. we are not at that point. just to get them going and staging but with that many deputies, we are doing that as

we speak. do you have what you need to deal with this effectively? >> on the law enforcement side, can't speak to the fireside. your air resource could probably see them. >> from the law enforcement side? >> on the law enforcement side, we are good right now. we are ready to bring in more but it is one road. at this time for the 20 deputies, things are slowing down. we have sufficient resources at this time. it is in a remote area, not densely populated. >> this is an area here.

slightly south of where the glass fire burned. >> let me show you ally lie picture from our east bay hills camera. even though the smoke is going up, it is gusty in the area. the vegetation is really dry. it is 20% in the vicinity. those winds are gusting to about 11 miles per hour. that will be the biggest challenge with those winds bumping up. that is what will make it really difficult for the firefighters. we have a red flag warning until

had in me to try to ignite a flame that used to drive me to do this. school administrators were impressed by their decorum and organization. >> this is the first large-scale student demonstration we have seen in middle school in recent memory and the fact that three to 400 students showed up in support of that and wanted to be part of something is important. >> they wanted to honor the lives lost in uvalde. >> coming this summer, they plan to write members of congress to try to urge them against action to take gun violence. question for the students.

>> both the uvalde and school district partners have stopped cooperating with estate led investigation into last tuesday's school shooting. law enforcement says that the decision was made after the director of public safety held that news conference last week, saying they delayed police entry into that. >> a move is underway to raise the legal age to buy a semi automatic rifle. the shooter at robb elementary legally purchased to assault style rifles and large amounts of ammunition just days after his 18th birthday. the house judiciary committee plans to vote on the measure as soon as thursday but the bill is expected to die in the senate.

quick as you can see, we are at a stage and fire off of old springs road and between soda kanan road. this is in the city of napa. the unincorporated areas. the fire was reported at 120 acres right now. we do have air and ground resources working this fire. one of the challenges is steep terrain but we have a little bit of wind on this fire. >> how are the evacuations right now? do you expect to be adding any more tonight? >> as far as that, the only evacuations in effect are from the 1300 block given the

tonight, one week later, what we've now learned about that horrific school shooting in uvalde. tonight, the children and their calls to 911. the gunman in their classroom. the audio, what appears to be the dispatcher signaling that children in the room are calling for help. it all comes as the funerals now begin one week after 19 children and two teachers were killed. border patrol agents today back at that school one week later. this time, paying their respects. and tonight, abc news obtaining video and audio from outside the school as the attack was still unfolding. children escaping through windows. and what appears to be a 911 dispatcher telling police they are receiving calls from children trapped with the gunman inside their classroom. >> child is advising he is in
