11:16 pm
no assurance. maria will be able to return i've been struggling actually. staying as positive, you know as i as i was before just because i've been to my country now and i've seen some of the devastations maria fled from a town in southern ukraine after what she's gone through the constant. nightly and daily shelling, you know in the clive she was ready to escape to the edge of the world leaving behind her home fortunate. she says it's still standing but not knowing for how long it kind of hit me. what a just cruel and brutal experience that's been for me and i cannot imagine how my mom feels, you know being 75 and having to flee her home maria arrived here in san francisco through the uniting for ukraine program. it allows those fleeing the war to be in the united states for two years after that. it's up in the air.

we did receive a stamp at the border control for two years and my plan is to file for green card for her is i'm us citizen talks of green cards while still grappling with the uncertainty and grieving the laws the mom continues calling daily to her friends and relatives there. my nephew is there my you know sister older sister. is there mother and daughter leaning on one another and somehow holding on to hope the resilience of ukrainians inside ukraine once you face it with them together like once you see it on your own eyes, it's it's even more incredible terra campbell. abc 7 news vice president kamala harris kicked off the 90th annual united states conference of mayors in reno this afternoon, and she addressed rising consumer costs and supply chain issues. and people in your cities in your towns are feeling the pinch.
11:18 pm
and seeing higher prices from the pump gas pump to the grocery store the vice president assured the mayors that bite administration is doing everything it can to lower the cost of things that matter most to american families speaking of costs if you think gas prices are bad at your neighborhood station, well be glad you're not filling up in mendocino gas at schlaffers auto repair is selling for $9.60 a gallon for regular, of course plus in supreme cost. 969 and 991 respectively almost 10 bucks for premium gasbuddy says it is the most expensive gas in the country. let's see. nine dollars over nine dollars a gallon over nine dollars. oh my goodness good. i think that's the most expensive gas in the history of the country. well, this is just the only gas station in town. is that why you're feeling up here? yeah, i guess so maybe i should go somewhere else. the station's owner has previously said that her prices
11:19 pm
are so high because even though she gets her gas from chevron. she's independent and doesn't sell food and drink to help make ends meet so it's all about the gas might nico is back mike if you have like a 15 gallon tank that's 150 bucks. that's amazing. and i was just lamenting that last week. my local gas station went up 10 cents and this morning that went up again 10 cents, and i'm like, i guess i better be buying more snow to soda and snacks dan right help them out. exactly alright this weekend dan. we've got some wet weather some unusual wet weather. in fact, it could be a record center for some of us. let's start by looking at the evening from our east bay hills camera. not much of the way some low clouds, but we definitely do have cloudy conditions as high clouds over top of us. some of the low clouds will roll back as we head through the overnight into the morning hour some isolate fog and missed his possible, but overall pretty dry start to the weekend tomorrow morning then showers to light showers light to moderate. we'll take over saturday afternoon into sunday morning, and how about the risk of heat on this to round out the seven
11:20 pm
day forecast? that's how hot it's going to be next week tomorrow morning with all that cloud cover temperatures range from 51 in santa rosa and half moon bay to about 59 in antioch. most of us in the mid fifties pretty close to average tomorrow afternoon where we see a little more sunshine break through the clouds down. out by mid-upper seventies mid-70s in the east bay but upper 60s to low seventies around the bay same thing up in the north bay and you can see that green up in the north bay. and those are the light showers that are going to be rolling across as we head through the afternoon hours. so we'll start off with cloudy conditions mid upper 50s at seven o'clock. we'll try to reach the low to mid 70s from noon to four for our inland neighborhoods. the bay mid to upper 60s and the coast low to mid 60. so even kind of mild there thanks to a southwestly win out ahead of this storm now to bring us. to moderate showers with the highest totals across the north bay. this one will pump out a little bit of moisture in a little briefly reduce the fire threat if we can get at least a tenth of an inch of rain. so here's a look at futur radar. you can see overnight some sprinkles across lake and
11:21 pm
mendocino counties wake up tomorrow morning at 7:30 pretty cloudy there as we head towards the afternoon hours. you can see the green and yellow the light to moderate showers moving across mainly lake in mendocino county once again, but as we head into the evening hours, here we go some of those showers trying to punch their way southward and they'll there sunday morning at 7 o'clock, but by noon one o'clock, they're gone and you can already see the gray rolling out in some afternoon sunshine for sunday. so most of the rain is gonna fall during the overnight hours. in fact here. we are the 11 o'clock tomorrow night and you can see just a couple of wet spots up in the north bay. nothing to cancel plans over unless you're in lake and mendocino counties, but if we get that amount of rain on sunday, that'll be a new daily record for santa rosa nearly a half an inch. this is how close we are today atmospheric river. eureka we talked about about 220 miles away. more than an inch of rain, i mean so close to a record setting atmospheric rain for us instead. it's just going to be a one with hardly any rain in the south bay and inland east bay, it will hold the temperatures down.

11:29 pm
like a trip to great wolf lodge. rock casino good evening. technically. it's not a must win game. but if the warriors want to have a realistic chance of capturing the nba title, they better beat boston in game two on sunday the celtics they made it rain threes and game one nine of their total 21 came in just the fourth quarter boston becoming the first team in nba finals history to be down double digits entering the fourth and then end up winning by double digits al horford flexing there got the early birthday present had six threes on his way to 26 points just 36 by the way, no panic from the warriors, but clearly they've got to have a better plan through all 48 minutes. we created enough good looks offensively, you know to win win the game tonight just couldn't get enough stops and now let that leave melted away in the forest. so there's a lot of bright spots to how we play got to get over
