the new york times reports the police commander did not have his radio when he arrived on the scene. investigators want to know if he was aware of the desperate 911 calls coming from students. san francisco is reporting its first probable case of monkeypox. in daly city yesterday, there was a visual. >> i can't believe it even happens. this woman speaking through tears friday as she addressed mass shooting after mass shooting. her husband and their six-year-old son joined city leaders and others that it evening vigil to end gun violence. >> a young person said can we have something in daly city. that is how it happened. >> a substantial call for action. the crowd demanding congress do something. on the local level, hoping the community will, too.

california is on the brink of 9 million diagnosed cases of covid-19. one case is governor gavin newsom. he tested negative and is out of isolation. artest positivity rate keeps climbing and is now at 8.3%. that not include unreported at-home tests, which we know so many people are taking. alameda county health officials have brought back the indoor mask mandate. it is not the only county with rising case levels, the question is will other followed the lead? >> i got covid about one month ago. >> joe just recovered from covid-19. >> it was not fun. >> sonoma county is one of five bay area counties that landed on the cdc's list of high community levels for covid danger were daily case rates are above 200 per 100,000 residents. these counties are all experiencing high covid community levels.

investigators are from the euro the suspect. >> he has been arrested for basically battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. he has been in contact with officers on multiple occasions. liz: the victims were taken to a nearby trauma center. one is in critical condition, the other two are stable. authorities did not believe the suspect had a prior relationship with the victims. the parents of the woman who has been missing since january say for the first time they spoke to the family of her ex-boyfriend, who was accused of killing her. marshall jones was shot and killed by police as they moved into arrest him. his mother reached out to alexis' parents for the first time. >> marshall's mom reached out to us and she said she was -- that

as we get into the afternoon, the clouds stay with us. light rain is possible in the north bay then overnight it will slip south into san francisco san mateo. pete arrives -- heat arrives in the middle of the week inland. it's a cloudy day, but look at the rain. it will stay to the north for the afternoon. the later afternoon, a few showers in the north bay. this is when overnight we see some of the energy sink south.

we are just three days away from california's primary election and here's what you need to know about voting. all registered voters should have received a mail-in ballot. they will be counted if postmarked no later than june 7. they can be returned through designated drop boxes and polling places. early voting centers are open in most bay area counties. you can still register to vote at even do so on election day by doing conditional voter registration. the sonoma county pride parade is happening later today in santa rosa. amy schneider is serving as grand marshall. she is the first openly transgender person to serve as the parade's grand marshall. she is a prominent spokesperson for the trans community. the theme for this year's parade is we are family. festivities kickoff at 11:00 a.m. and last until noon.

san francisco is celebrating the history of muni. streetcars rarely in operation will return to service our muni heritage day. exhibits will be held on the plaza outside the city's railway museum. entry is free. the celebration will be held at steuart street and don chee way. the san mateo county fair kicks off today at the san mateo event center. the dinosaurs are just a small part of the fun. all the traditional food, carnival rides and entertainment are slated to go for the nine-day event. the ribbon-cutting ceremony is this morning. that is followed by the
