the so-called old fire burning in napa county it is no longer a threat cal fire this morning reported. the wildfire is 100% contained after scorching 570 acres north of the silverado resort. roseville will still keep an eye out for hot spots one injury was reported the fire started tuesday and at one point caused air advisories and road closures. cal fire is looking into weather a faulty pg&e powerline sparked to the fire. all right speaking of fire and whether we're always keeping an eye on wins, maybe that not so much the issue that we're talking about this week those
9:50 pm
spencer. you're right about that dion now today's rainfall helped to diminish the fire threat just a bit, but it's in the short term because we're going to have drier and warmer weather going into this week. let's take a look at what's happening right now though. you mentioned the wind down here. we have a light to moderate on shore windflow right now most wind speeds at the surface about eight to 12 miles per hour. so nothing very extreme there. and here's the 24-hour temperature. you can see that near the bay around the bay near the coast of the temperatures are one to three. maybe even four degrees cooler than at this time last night, but the inland areas are warmer much warmer santa rosa in fact by eight degrees over fairfield four degrees warmer than at this time last night. here's a view from emeryville looking western across the bay you can see there's still some clouds around but a little breaks in the clouds right now some patches of clearing are developing 59 degrees in san francisco right now mid to upper 60s at oakland mountain view, san jose, santa clara and 57 degrees. at half moon bay now, it's foggy at the golden gate as you can see it's likely to remain foggy there overnight and that fog may extend a bet across the bay
9:51 pm
during the overnight hours before backing off tomorrow. it's 64 degrees right now in santa rosa 59 at petaluma. we've got 63 at napa upper 60s at fairfield conquered and livermore one more live view showing the sky conditions over the bay from the exploratorium camera once again a few areas of partial clearing there, but lots of clouds still linger and these are our forecast features. we'll have lingering clouds and coastal fog overnight into the morning hours. it'll be sunny here and drier tomorrow afternoon with summer like heat developing by mid-week. here's our forecast animation for the overnight hours notice that they'll continue to be a little surge of clouds pushing on shore and some packet pockets of isolated sprinkles and drizzle. so there may be a few wet spots in the early morning hours for morning commuters, but it won't be very widespread and by midday, we'll see lots of sunshine developing and that will be the beginning of a sunny and warmer week overnight low temperatures. mainly in the mid-50s so pretty mild and most spots up in the north. bay those santa rosa will drop down to about 48 degrees napa a
9:52 pm
lower 50 highs tomorrow 60 half moon bay 68 in san francisco mid-70s right around the bay shoreline and we'll see mid 80s in most of the warmest inland locations maybe up to about 87 at fairfield and ■thenthe warming continues into tuesday up to about 90 inland wednesday. not much change there thursday look for some pretty unusual. heat for this time of the year. it's only early june and we'll see highs near a hundred degrees in the warmest inland locations going into a later part of the latter part of the week. so here's the accuweather seven-day forecast little change from tuesday into wednesday, but thursday gives us the mild to warm conditions. we'll see temperatures edging up into the 90s and our inland areas and then upper 90s to near 100 in the hottest hot spots on friday. not much change on saturday still quite warm next sunday. we expect a little bit of down, but i don't know if that's going to be a trend or pattern. it's still going to be pretty toasty for the latter part of the week and next weekend deon.
