right now. we're hanging onto warmt areas s and the 80s. we do have an excessive heat warning that continues until 11 pm tomorrow night for solano county. not much cooling overnight and highs will still be up into the 90s again tomorrow we go hour by hour tomorrow afternoon by noon time. you're looking at 80s and 90s away from the coast at 2 pm. it's going to get hot inland but not quite as hot as today the coast and bay dropping i'll let you know when everyone will get relief coming right up, dan. all right, sandia. thank you. another former employees alleging discrimination by one of the bay area's largest utility companies the abc 7 news i-team. first told you about racial discrimination allegations against east bay mud in april. well now one former employee is alleging gender discrimination abc 7 news item reporter melanie. woodrow has the shantae scott says she worked as a customer services supervisor at east bay mud in the fall of 2018.

i was so excited and grateful for the opportunity. it was a dream for me to be a part of the organization but after more than six months on the job. she says those feelings significantly changed. i was stressed. i felt alienated marginalized scott says before completing a one-year probation period she was fired for not being a good fit. in a complaint for damages scott alleges a hostile work environment and gender discrimination including an east bay mud employees alleged derogatory statements about women in her complaints scott alleges prior to being fired. she brought her concerns to east bay mud's labor relations manager who she claims encouraged her not to file a formal complaint. i was told by the labor relations manager at that time that i should be aware that i was about to make a complaint against the person who could pass or fail me or probation in a motion for summary judgment attorneys for east bay mudd

right that the labor relations manager does not recall scott reported gendered comments complaints of harassment discrimination or retaliation at their meeting and that the labor relations manager did not deter or discourage scott from filing a complaint according to the motion for summary judgment east bay mud says scott was terminated after her manager received union grievances informal complaints and requests. to let her pass probation their resolve is determinate or it's alienate opposed to correcting the issue east baymont has faced other discrimination allegations in april abc 7 news. spoke with sochi pierce and ariel bland to former east bay mud attorneys who alleged racial discrimination while working at the district at the time east bay mud told abc 7 news it took the claims of its former employees very seriously and went above and beyond in addressing them also that it believed the legal claims were unfounded after story around scott was more than half a dozen former or current employees who contacted abc 7 news to share their experience of alleged
