the cdc announced the requirement will end sunday morning and they will continue to monitor the pandemic. ty hernandez has the latest. reporter: as a summer travel season gets underway, the cdc is lifting the requirements for international travelers to show a negative covid-19 test before boarding a flight to the u.s.. the change person to affect after midnight on sunday. the airline industry has lobbied to lift the varmint that has been in place the last 17 months. major u.s. airlines are plotting the decision. united says in a statement, "this is another important step not only for air travel but for all of the tour jobs international travel supports. jetblue's president said this will boost summer travel. >> a lot of people did not want to travel because of the testing requirement. this provides them with peace of
