reporter: and a former attorney who resigned amid the claims of election fraud in georgia, telling the committee the fbi investigated the allegations made by trump's team and found nothing. >> determined that nothing irregular happened in the counting. reporter: some trump supporters kept believing those claims and brought those conspiracy theories with them to the capitol. >> i do not want to say what we are doing is right. if the election is being stolen, what will it take? reporter: while the january 6 committee cannot bring criminal charges, attorney general garland said he is continuing to watch these proceedings closely as the department of justice conducts its own investigation into the events surrounding january 6. the house select committee meets again on wednesday. dan: still ahead, new concern

we are awakened at 4:00 in the morning by the sheriff going by in his vehicle. reporter: he lost it all in the 2020 glass fire as flames ripped through napa county. >> our home of 33 years was gone. reporter: a painful loss compounded with a slow recovery. years later he has yet to rebuild partly because of this. >> these are all pg&e logs cut and stacked up here, and why they were never removed three months after the fire, i don't know. reporter: he says 40 logs between 10-60 feet long litter his properties. >> you can tell it is pg&e because they have marked them. >> that is their responsibility. reporter: he signed this form allowing the utility company vegetation department to remove the treated brie pg&e cut down.

it has been more than a year since those papers were signed, yet pg&e has yet to do the job. turns out he is not alone. >> they told pg&e you have to pick these trees up in august, 2021. they have not completed the job. reporter: diane dillon represents the district and pushed pg&e to mitigate what fire officials consider a danger zone. >> there are hundreds of properties, they said they cut down 18,000 trees in napa county. another 10,000 in sonoma county. reporter: we reached out to pg&e to understand why this process has taken so long, and how much work has yet to be completed. the company was unable to interview that sent us the following questions or statements, saying crews have been returning to the sites and exposing of the wood he ginny

undertaking with 56,000 businesses statewide required to train their employees. the goal of a new certificate is to cut down on a number of duis. >> they want to make sure we are lawfully serving people of the proper age, and we are not over serving parties that become dangerous to the community. reporter: the certification requirement applies to employees at bars, restaurants, breweries or wineries or anywhere a customer can order an alcoholic drink. >> it takes effect july 1, and by august 31 everyone is supposed to be certified and trained. or within 60 days of their first date of employment. reporter: training can be done online. the test is open book. the hardest part will come later when it is time to cut off the customer. >> that is one of the hardest things for a server to do, politely decline to serve somebody when they are showing
