oakland made the top 10 list for highest one-bedroom and two bedroom median rents according to zumper data as of january now four months later with so many cities rents. rebounding oakland has actually been knocked off the top 10 list for two bedroom median rents falling to 11th place while san jose went from fourth to 5th place. for one bedroom median rents. it's dropped a little bit, but as a significantly as oakland, it's good news, perhaps for bay area renters, especially those no longer interested in buying given higher interest rates. i think it's wonderful. francisco's rent has not fully rebounded from pre-pandemic times because it was too expensive and it's still too expensive when we first met melissa cardenakis in february. she had one roommate and was attempting to get her own place frying being the operative word four months later. even though bay area rents still haven't fully rebounded carjanakis says she couldn't make the jump to a one-bedroom apartment and instead now has two roommates and pay slightly more rent than when she had won.

our mount tam cam of the setting sun. it's absolutely gorgeous there you can see today got up into the 90 degree range from concord to fairfield to livermore. just topping 90 degrees there 67 in san francisco as we check out the winds on shore gusting to 32 at sfo and that onshore wind certainly playing a part in dropping the temperatures down 13 degrees in san carlos and in livermore as that wind is coming off the ocean that is all going to continue as this area of low pressure pushes towards the pacific northwest. the wind will continue to funnel through the area into the inland communities and so those temperatures are going to continue to drop over the next few days right now. we have a little bit of patchy fog beginning to develop along the coast. it is clear though in san jose as you can see 58 degrees in the city. it is 60 in oakland in the 67 degree range for mountain view. mid-60s, santa clara, san jose a gorgeous view from our golden gate bridge camera, and certainly you can see that flag blowing around in the wind.

shutoffs. the cpuc says pg&e didn't follow the rules when it came to notifying customers that it would be turning off the power didn't properly explain why i shut off was necessary and didn't properly track customer complaints the fines apply to psps events between september and december of 2020 p now has 30 days to respond to the cpuc either by paying the fine or by requesting a hearing it also has to correct these mistakes in the future in a statement to abc 7 news. pg&e says public safety power shutoffs continue to be quote unnecessary tool of last resort and says it has already made improvements and notifying customers when these events happen from seven on your side tonight. what started with a gas leak ended with a water pipe break for one san jose woman and as michael finley reports whole ordeal began in january of last year and it didn't end until a few weeks ago 17 months later. christine cogulatory walks us to the front of her house.

where the smell was here's what it looks like on google street view a neighbor originally alerted her to the smell back in january 2021 richard berman walks by the home every day on his daily walks for several weeks. he smelled what he suspected was natural gas. i don't know if i have more sensitive nose because there were other people didn't smell it even when i could smell it right then and they were right there. he alerted christine to the smell and she called pg&e which sent a crew out with a sniffer they came out. they didn't smell him then i'm fine. okay, you know, they're the experts they know best but richard berman continued to have a suspicious and expressed his concern once again, we smelt it again and this time it seemed a lot more prevalent. so we call this time pg&e did detect a smell but designated. ask as minimal more than a year went by with no crew sent to

address the situation an extra neighbor with children complained to pg&e directly one constant always seemed to come up we said well, we don't want to san bruno case on our hand because of san bruno years ago is always on your mind. pg&e came out to repair the leaked last month 17 months after the initial complaint. this is where the crew dug up the street. this is the water pipe crews accidentally broke while fixing the gas line. this is how christine says she was informed and he goes well, he says yeah, your pipe is really old and it's corroded and i said, okay pg&e stren hours trying to fix it, but finally suggested christine would have to call a plumber the brake left christine without water for one and a half days before a plumber replaced this water pipe with a new one frustrated with pg&e. she contacted seven on your side. eg&e promptly sent her a check for 4,000 to cover the repairs.

looking powerful doing presidential things. the portraits are the work of african-american artists. kahindi wiley and amy cherald each had individual sittings with the former president and the first lady who had interviewed them. like in charold's portrait, michelle obama is depicted in a flowing white dress and a modernist feel the relationship is captured in a film included in the exhibit mrs. obama you exist in our minds and our hearts in the way that you do because we can see ourselves in you the exhibit is placed directly across from a gallery that includes civil war artworks depicting enslaved african-americans and also formal portraits from the colonial era the deyoung is is hoping that combined experience highlights the hist. uniqueness of the new presidential portraits and the obama presidency itself. i'm really proud that we can bring these portraits to the deion museum and to san francisco and share them with the audiences here in the bay area. these are groundbreaking portraits in so many ways.
