young guys jonathan kaminga the rookie standing by with chthe by good on you man. jk. can you describe your rookie season? it ends in the championship. my rookie season was crazy man. nobody will talk. i'll be a champion one day, you know, we had to find how good to see on the bench playing a couple minutes being through out there in the court certain times that i'm not expecting. so it was a hard challenge. yeah the good tour i learned how to be patient. i learned how to be a champion and i am a champion. there's a wave coming can tell we have the guys. of established this but it's you it's pool. it's moody. it's wise what's it like to be a champion already and then to keep growing with this franchise. it's crazy being a champion as rookie. it's not too many work. it's only me and moody. me and moody only and it's on our first year. it's not too many people that have that. i don't know. i don't know. i think it's just me and woody, but if you go out there and google wasn't but i was the first rookie.

that was a champion. yeah, they won't tell you an audience jonathan. so it's crazy man, you know. so many people that play a lot of years in the league. they never got to be in the final or in the playoff. that we did it and we was of that team will help. you know, it's big for us. it's crazy. you have a favorite moment from the season like for you personally a poster. i mean, what was your favorite moment that sticks out to you? by film only was just been around these guys every single day, you know, he has some good days. he has some bad days. we had to fight too. and here we are we had to all be together most of the time. no, i think that was my favorite moment. just growing around these people like this so my growth yeah, yeah, i was just the key getting drive there. i'm still the key. i feel like i grew a lot, you know, it was just crazy moment. it's funny one day in 10 years to be able to look back at this and steph and clay and dre where kids but you're even younger than them. so what you're gonna like in 10 years, you're still gonna look

the veterans who've got four rings, jordan poole has a reuse of the g league. oh, man. i am so proud, you know, i've jogging because i think when you when you look back for the young guys out there, it's like adversity could eat a break you or a defines you when this young man was sending to the g league. it was so easy to crumble right as players are probably getting the way but he took it as a walk assignment. he went down. put into work came back and we see him struggled throughout this this year, but the most amazing thing to me, is that despite the struggle you seem every day. he's learning and the thing that you you it's hard to say in sports is that there's really no way to teach you experience. you have to get there and you have to be burned by the fire and you see him god burned but the most important thing for me is that he always get back up and in this moment moment to find this moment after the few weeks. he's had to find this moment to

perform as he did that's truly speaks to his future and how bright it is and you saw him just like steph he was doing the night tonight things. he learned from stuff because when steph was out the final 12 games of the regular season who started to develop that chemistry with draymond and was modeling steph's behavior how he would run around the court how he would set up guys to to use the screens. and so i mean what you have staff staff junior you want to call him that the net whatever it's you know, you do. i mean his future is clearly bright the guy can score. hopefully he gets in the gym gets stronger works on his defense like gary payton who's also a tremendous story the veterans on the team and training camp were saying keep avery bradley as the 15th player keep the avery bradley because we want a veteran and bob myers said, yeah. thanks. thanks for the input guys gary payton the second we just signed him and wow. you want to talk about exceeding

are kind of marred by injuries injuries injuries, so it's gonna be the most healthy team and clearly in the end not just talent but and they face the relatively healthy team too in the celtics. so there's there's a a little bit of an even balance. that and obviously the better team won. no question. a fan gundy i think would agree now. yeah, thank you six, you know, he's six and absolute biggie should be in the parade on monday get a magnificent should be in the parade. you know, why don't you take you're probably gonna be it in as an ambassador. you can have biggie on your life, right? he's royalty. yeah, just a little way. all right another interview chris alvarez in boston with damian lee. i just asked damian lee if i could sit next to a champion. he said he could do anything you want. you could do anything you want. right now i can you're a champion. you can do anything you want describe this journey. it's been a lot. it's been a lot, you know the injuries. you know, like i've been telling

people i saw i started my career here in boston. it just comes full circle, you know, there's nothing there's nothing but god it is just amazing the guys that we went through with are all selfless as you know, you talk about and it's just guys new no matter what it took no matter what it's up. we were gonna keep pushing keep pushing through the injuries. there's a time during the season where there was definitely some doubt but, you know gotta give credit to bob for keeping the guys together steve for you know, encouraging us and then obviously, you know, our leaders steph clay dray andre loon wigs. guys that have been through, you know high to highs and the lower the lows but champions man champions and you know what the one thing i recognize it resonates with me. i see the family members up there. i see your children up there that's sharing that moment obviously too young to remember but those photos how much you can cherish that for the rest your life. oh forever. i mean all this stuff that i'm wearing right now is all gonna go in the case. they all go, you know, everything that my wife wore what i wore my son war.

it's all gonna go in the shelf all going to case and just go together. it's it's a blessed man to be able to share this moment with my mom who's obviously been there with me since birth and my biggest order my wife who's my rock and then obviously our son is it's special i mean a lot for us even bring him into this world and for him to be six months. you won't remember much now but in a couple years, we'll definitely show them the pictures and show them all the memories you definitely will too and his uncle nba finals mvp his knuckles, okay. alright. yeah, what do you think it meant to his uncle to get that trophy? i mean another championship these team first, but for that the nba finals mvp, what do you think? it means tim? oh, it's huge. i mean, obviously, you know, there's a possibility that he could have won it before but just the way that he comes in and works every single day. he's the most selfless person to play in this league the most selfless person that i know and and just his dedication to making people and making the world better go far great.
