and jubilation. friday night, the warriors touched down at san francisco international airport, less than 24 hours after wrapping up their seventh championship in boston. as the team departed at the sweet -- when was as sweet as ever. >> is great to have a home where it belongs. tim: it is the fourth title in eight years, when the coach says his not completely hit him yet. >> we are just sort of looking around at each other like manna, we just won the championship. tim: he said his team was determined to get the job done, not just for themselves but for the fans. the big win has electrified the city with pans -- fans pouring into the streets.

the mayor said she hopes to keep it going until monday, when the bay area will come out for the champions parade. >> to see it happen in san francisco, the first time ever, this is almost unreal. zach: here is the championship parade route which is extended a couple blocks it starts monday morning at 11:20 and head of market street and end at eight. you can watch the party right here on abc 7. our live coverage drugs at 10:00 a.m. through the parade route. you can find everything you know by going to abc7news.com. we are keeping you updated on an attack on san francisco international airport. a man with an edged weapon attacked three men in the international terminal around 6:00. the suspect was arrested and the victims were treated and released. there was no impact airport operators. no word yet on a motive for the attack.

it has been 28 years since jenny lind was murdered in her home in castro valley. the family continues to search for the killer with the reward doubling to $200,000. the family was just going for a vigil. the shoe there may be a break in the case. >> for 28 years, the search continues for jenny lynn's killer. >> we ask us is this would -- what jenny would want us to do and that what keeps us going. >> in 1994, then 14-year-old jenny lind was murdered at their house in castro valley. her father from her dead body in the bathroom but no one has found the killer. >> we still are really frustrated that after all these years the case is still not solved. however, we are encouraged. >> encouraged because new

technology may lead to a breakthrough in the case. >> technology, tactics and with regard to what we do with recovery. >> sebastian shaw was once considered the prime suspect but was later ruled out and he died in prison last year serving three life sentences for murder. the sheriff says all of the evidence has been re-examined with new dna technology that allows them to extract new cells and has given them new leads. >> we have a couple possibilities that we are holding close to our best. we want to make sure we don't release too much to potential suspects. >> they say it has been hard but the mother said this is the parents' commitment to justice and their daughter. >> it has been hard. but we learned how to manage it. we know it is sad, but we also

know that we need to find justice for jenny. zach: families of victims and concerned muni members planning to rally today in uvalde, texas. the rally is supposed to start at noon local time. you can see video of the memorial at the town square appeared this comes almost a month after the shooting that took the lives of 19 students and two teachers when a gunman opened fire inside a classroom. the controversial tenderloin center in san francisco will close at the end of the year. the officials decided not to add additional funding. it opened as part of the mayor's emergency initiatives. the center has been something in between a success and a failure. >> rent at the place is $75,000 a month, but to keep it operating it is well over a million dollars a month. what are we getting for our

money? about 49,000 visits to the center, men hundred people put into shelters as a result of those visits, 53 went to drug treatment and 150 went into permanent housing. zach: visitors to the center can receive basic services but it has been criticized for allowing drug use. the fda authorized moderna and pfizer's vaccines for emergency use for children under five to as young as six months old. states have preordered doses except for florida, rejecting guidance in raising questions about how parents there will get their young children vaccinated. abc's karina mitchell has the story. karina: doses for the youngest children on the way to pediatricians and pharmacies around the world with pfizer saying it plans to ship 2.5 million doses i the end of the month. it comes hours after the fda

bring her daughter to get the jab as soon she can. >> no hesitancy for the vaccine. my question would be if there are two available, which one we would get. zach: oakland is trying to limit the impact of the illegal fireworks to curb illegal fire you -- fireworks and prevent fires. they have set up collection barrels throughout the city and there is a list of fire stations where you can drop off your unused fireworks. they encourage people to call the tip line with people using illegal fireworks. we have a lot going on this weekend. frances: we are looking at fog rolling in, low clouds looking out toward the golden gate bridge which is partially obscured because of the low clouds. plenty of sunshine today, of all the strong sea breeze will keep

as we can. luz: john templeton wants people to understand the significance hind this and know the role san francisco played over a century ago, and today. what is it about juneteenth that people get wrong? >> african-americans not only ended slavery, but they kept the nation together. juneteenth decided that we were one country. zach: and oakland has a bunch of celebrations going on the summer time nights series took over liberation part and friday for a festival as well as movie night. a big crowd was out there. there were multiple events friday through the city and war plan throughout this weekend. the federal holiday will be monday. government offices and the stock market will be closed and most

school district announced it would ask voters to fund it through a bond measure which eventually passed by 80%. an assembly man was a school board member back then. >> over the next five years we estimate there will be 1300 new students from mission bay soma alone. leanne: i know many of you are thinking that was 2016, isn't the school district now expensing a decline in enrollment? yes, citywide, families have moved out but mission bay is one of those neighborhoods continues to grow. >> when you look at where the density of kids are going to be, it is mission bay, the eastern neighborhoods and the southeast. leanne: families who live in the mission bay neighborhood are two miles away from daniel webster elementary and bessie carmichael, so there is the convenience factor. the school district us that by opening school in mission bay,

those other two schools will not lose students. that's because as of today, families in mission bay can ask to enroll in any school in the city, once the district moves to a zone based system, they can only select those that are in close proximity. >> the schools that are closest to mission bay will be the new mission bay. leanne: groundbreaking is scheduled for october. zach: a remote-controlled robot is helping clean up the beaches around lake tahoe. take a look. it slowly sifts through sand to find small pieces of trash that would go unnoticed. the robot can go through 3000 meters of sand in an hour. environmentalists checking it out to measure just how much trash it can keep out of the water. courteney cox returning after a three year hiatus due to the pandemic.

like san francisco, hayward and even oakland. that is white temperatures will be -- that is why temperatures will be below normal. the golden gate which would be around there and you can see clouds coming in. today it will be cooler than average but the clouds will mix out and it will be bright and breezy, and then sunny and warmer for father's day and juneteenth. then warming continues into next week. in fact, triple digit heat inland tuesday and wednesday. that is when the ac will be running a lot. heights range from the upper 50's at the beaches to upper 70's in the warmest spot. look for san francisco to hit 75. in the north bay, santa rosa, 77. fairfield, antioch, mid to upper 70's.
