false election fraud claims spread by trump. abc will have special coverage. you can watch attack on the capitol, the investigation here on abc7. reggie: developing news in san francisco, where two people are in the hospital after a stabbing. officers were called to the area of seventh and market streets just before 8:30 last night. that is where they found an adult victim and a juvenile victim about one block away from each other. both have been stabbed, but their injuries are not life-threatening. kumasi: a man shot and killed by solano county sheriff's deputies over the weekend was armed with several handsaw blades. 911 callers reported the man had a knife and a stolen car. investigators say jason thompson refused to drop the saw blades when they confronted him, and that is when deputies shot him.

we are in store for a hot day today, with more heat advisories going into effect at 10:00. a lot of us waking up in the temperatures. we have tons of sunshine on the way and here is how the day breaks down. temperatures will climb quickly this morning. by the afternoon, numbers continue to rise, talking about widespread 90's and a lot of people away from the coast, especially in the east and north bay, exceeding 100 degrees. the only exception to the heat advisory, right along the immediate coast line, but it does include all of the east bay and the south bay and most of the north bay. we will take a closer look at how hot you get and how long this heat will stick around, coming up in seven minutes. reggie: there is also the ever present fire danger. ryan curry is live on walnut creek with how people are preparing.

ryan: good morning. you can start to feel it more comfortable in the air, but there is a brisk start. we know how hot it is going to get and we know exactly what the threat is are these east bay residents, a lot of them knowing how to prepare. yesterday we caught up with a few of them trying to stay cool and beat the heat. yesterday, crews caught up with swimmers going to cool off. i've been a lifeguard in this area for years and i know how hot those days can be and how crowded those pools can get. this is also causing some concern for fires. fire officials say the hot air will dry vegetation faster, making it easier to burn and they have -- they have advised people to be cautious. >> anything that might cause a spark, just do it before 10:00. >> we are not too concerned

the middle of a controversy, after releasing a video calling for other republicans to be killed. jobina: what we are learning's facebook has pulled the video from their website. twitter added a warning before users can view it. we will only show you a still from the video. it shows the former governor of missouri holding a rifle while men dressed as soldiers ram a door. the video declares a quote, hunt for so-called rhinos, which stands for republicans in name only. his campaign manager dismissed outrage over the video saying quote, if anyone doesn't get the metaphor, they are lying or dumb. critics say it is the latest concerning example of violence in politics. another republican,, congressman adam kinzinger said he was threatened over the weekend. >> it threatens to execute me as well as my wife and five month old child.

jobina: this isn't the first time this governor has been involved in controversy. his ex-wife has accused him of the mystic violence. republicans say a person with such claims against him should steer clear of this kind of rhetoric. kumasi: thank you. new york police are investigating a crash involving a taxi that hit a bicyclist and then plowed into a group of pedestrians. police say the cab had the right-of-way when a bicyclist rode into the path, causing the crash. officers say that cab drove up onto the sidewalk, hitting -- 20 bystanders rushed to lift the car off of the victims and none of the victims have life-threatening injuries. reggie: 13 students and a teacher from albany high school are recovering after they were hurt in a tour bus crash in france. the crash happened friday while the group was returning from a stay in spain. the teacher was seriously hurt and had to be airlifted to a

hospital. the students' injuries were minor. the driver will be tested for alcohol and drugs. it is not known when the albany high school group will return home. kumasi: two former tesla employees are suing the company. they said tesla violated federal law by not giving them enough notice and denying them two months pay. they are among thousands of workers who were fired. in email earlier this month, ceo elon musk said tesla needed to cut 10% of its staff. the lawsuit claims affected workers suffered devastating economic impact. tesla has not commented. reggie: registered nurses at a medical center are planning to go on strike this week. nurses at -- they say the issues including chronic lack of supplies, understaffing and patient care issues. the strike is scheduled for tomorrow and thursday at the facility on sullivan apple -- sullivan avenue. they will hold a rally in the

the carpal rate goes up to $6.40. the golden gate bridge has the most expensive tolls in the bay area. summer travel is in full swing and the july 4 holiday is expected to be a really busy weekend on the roadways. despite record high gas prices, nearly 42 million people are going to be hitting the road for the holiday weekend. in the bay area the company says the worst route to travel is west on interstate 80 from maritime street to san pablo van road. the busiest times of be next thursday from 5:45 until 7:45 p.m.. aaa says that core door will be 75% above normal. reggie: gas prices are still extremely high in the bay area, that there is a glimmer of relief. prices are actually down this week. the average price for a gallon of regular is $6.52 in san francisco, down $.11 compared to last week. in oakland, prices are down to
