order on the jack app today. >> the response was swift and dramatic as protesters took over tonight. thank you for joining us. >> protesters were in san francisco tonight. there are vehicles backed up along highway 101. chp officers were able to guide the protesters off the freeway and back onto city streets.

the backup started to clear about half hour later. protesters in their car onto a freeway on rep. there was a heavy police presence. demonstrations were seen in the streets. police say they have no reports of violence. crowds of protesters were out in force in the bay area. they were out in front of san jose city hall, oakland city hall, thousands of people protesting the supreme court decision. in san francisco it started outside a building this afternoon. says state march to the heart of the city. he joins us now. tim: several rallies were happening today. some of them converging with one another. no matter which one you're at, all of them had people passionate about making their hd anger and determination following the decision to overturn roe v. wade by the supreme court, protesters were in the streets this afternoon. >> i'm disappointed they have taken a million steps backwards. tim: several rallies were held around the city. from city hall to major streets. chp cleared around 200 protesters off highway 101. >> they have been working on

this for 50 years. tim: outside city hall, this woman remembers a time before roe v. wade and is shocked they return now. >> is an awful thing. >> we can't let the government tell us who to be. tim: there was a rally by planned parenthood. they vowed to do everything they can to protect women in other states. >> we are going to rely on people to step up to get out of the states and get the care they need. tim: while this will not impact abortions in california, people want extra steps taken. a bow on the ballot will guarantee -- a vote on the ballot will guarantee rights in the constitution. while protesters say they are frustrated, they tell us they are not going anywhere.

along the coast in the bay. inland area, you do not have the marine influence which is why it was so hot. near the coast, patchy fog with the visibility down to four miles. a little hazy around novato. temperatures in the 50's to the 70's inland. i think it will be good in terms of sleeping weather. 8 tomorrow morning, 50's and 60's. inland, not near the coast or bay. low to mid 90's in inland. you will feel the heat. salesforce tower also getting into the spirit. hunt inland, mild beaches. the pattern will hold into early next week. fog first thing in the morning. it will hang around into the afternoon.

has filed drug driving charges against the husband of house speaker nancy pelosi. popolo see faces two misdemeanor counts of dui causing injury. he had blood alcohol content just over the limit. he was involved in a crash on highway 29 last month. district attorney says her office has been flooded with thousands of disturbing phone calls people who complain -- who claim she was refusing to file charges. >> i have office staff being told that they will hang from trees in our treasonous because of what has happened. my family has threatened that we should all die in a terrible accident. >> even so, she says her officer stood up to do the right thing and handle this matter at the same as at -- every other case
