hour ago where you can see those flames tearing into a large home initial reports. are that a second home was also damaged. crews are on the scene on alamo ranch road near stone valley road. this is just off of highway 680. first reports of the fire came in this afternoon around tree crews worked quickly and now save forward progress has been stopped. and a new wildfire is now burning in the santa cruz mountains the rock fire is burning in an oak and pine forest near highway 17 and hutchinson road. that fire is holding off at just one acre so far and it's about 50% contained those restructures were threatened when the fire was first reported the good news no evacuation orders or warnings have been issued. so right away, let's get to abc 7 news weather anchor spencer christian watching those conditions very closely. yeah, dan, you know, it's still very warm over in the inland east bay where the fire and elmo is burning the wind there is light of the relative humidity dangerously low as for the santa

voices and opposition cried out once again today and abc 7 news reporter cornell. bernard was at one rally where a congressman joined from the east bay more than 100 people stood outside the planned parenthood clinic in hayward saturday to protest the supreme court overturning roe vs. wade ending nearly 50 years of national abortion rights i came because i'm angry and it's my anger is building women all across the country deserve the right to be able to choose what they wanted to choose what their body we are here to say we are not going to stand for the stripping of a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions east bay congressman. eric swalwell told the crowd the court's ruling will not impact abortions in california, but warns that could change. we are a temporary sanctuary because the intent of republic chains is a federal ban, and we're one election away one

for your wake of destruction. service at its west oakland station. where a shooting shut things down this afternoon police closed the station for about half an hour to investigate an investigators. say the instant started at about 1 o'clock on a train headed to daly city witnesses. say two men aboard the train started arguing and the argument escalated as the train reached west oakland. the train approached the station they got into a physical altercation. that's when a firearm was produced. someone was hid in the head with it a shot ring off. we don't really can't really tell you what happened much after that because as soon as that happened hit the floor. the gunman was gone by the time bart police arrived on the scene witnesses also say the shooting victim was only grazed by the

gunfire. he was taken to a hospital by his expected to be okay a similar incident happened on board a muni train on wednesday. you may remember and yesterday police arrested a 26 year old man for the shooting death of a muni passenger in san francisco. a federal jury has awarded 21 million dollars to the family of a teenage girl who was shot and killed by fremont police. elena. mendragon was 16 years old and pregnant when she was killed in march of 2016. was sitting in the passenger seat of a car that undercover officers tried to stop in hayward a lawsuit filed by mundragon's family claimed the police were attempting to arrest the driver of the car, but when the driver tried to get away police shot at the car hitting mundragon. in 2018 the alameda county district attorney's office concluded at the fatal shooting was justified. a police pursued this morning in moraga ended with a crash killing the driver and critically injuring the passenger. moraga police say they started their pursuit after the car

failed to stop when an officer tried to pull over the driver. officers say that ended the pursuit when it reached dangerous speeds and say that is when the car rolled over a hill and crashed in orinda. that car was reported stolen out of richmond roads around moraga way were closed for hours. and new developments in a sexual assault claim against windsor's former mayor the chronicle reports that a woman in montana filed a lawsuit against dominic fupoli of raping her several times in 2020 when she was 18 years old. 21 women now have made sexual assault or harassment claims against fupoli 7 have joined in a civil lawsuit against him. the police says he is innocent and looks forward to being fully cleared. well up next get your motors running during an event that honors and celebrates excellence in automotive design. we are talking pure automotive authenticity. we'll take a look as passionate

that canceled classes at stanford. the university says pg&e restored power to the main campus last night stanford says university it will work throughout the weekend to make sure all equipment is operating. classes are expected to resume on monday power was out on campus since tuesday after pg&e equipment failure that appears to have coincided with a wildfire. check it out on the peninsula more than 70 classic cars have been rolled out for the annual hillsboro tour de elegance the owners gathered at hillsboro town hall for the start of a 70 mile rally that takes participants along. the bay area's most picturesque roadways. the event is more than 60 years

right now in terms of fire concerns, but the inland east bay is dangerously dry with relative humidity readings right now between 10 and 18% here comes some relief though. here comes some humidity in the form of low clouds and fog as we look out over san francisco from sutro tower 60 degrees in a city right now oakland 65 we have mid to upper 70s at mountain view, san jose and santa clara and only 57 at half moon bay and from emeryville. it's getting foggy or foggier as we look westward of the temperature readings right now. 66 a petaluma. we've got low to mid 70s etc, santa rosa and napa upper 80s at fairfield concord and livermore and the view from our rooftop camera shows. easy conditions over the embarcadero and these are our forecast features mild weather for tomorrow's pride parade hot inland and mildred our beaches the next three days through tuesday cooler pattern begins late next week overnight. we can expect low clouds and fog to advance across the bay and locally inland and there'll be enough moisture here that there could be some patchy drizzle near the coastline, but it'll be a sunny and dry day tomorrow.

so on we go overnight low temperatures mainly mid to upper 50s, so it's going to be pretty mild maybe even uncomfortably mild in some locations and then eyes tomorrow up to about 70 on the coast. we'll see some low in mid 80s around the bayshore line. it's going to be a warm day and another hot day inland east bay inland. the areas will have highs in the mid to upper 90s. here's the accuweather 7-day forecast. not much change on monday and tuesday temperatures drop off just a couple of degrees. it's going to remain hot inland though until midweek when the cooling begins and then by the end of next week, we'll see temperatures much cooler back down into the comfort zone. now abc 7 sports with chris alvarez. well, you thought basketball season was over right? nice. try just one week from today chase center will play host of the california classic. it's two day summer league basketball event featuring of course the warriors the lakers kings and heat and that's all ahead of the nba's annual las vegas summer league laterer rea. it's a busy week for the warriors the champs celebrating their seventh franchise tide or friend title and franchise history.

excuse me, monday, of course the championship parade in san francisco then thursday back to business. nba draft and with nba free agency looming general manager bob myers talking about the team's youth and the plan to find veterans to fill out the roster. after we drafted him somebody joked. we said we got like four four nineteen year olds, and and i kind of like yeah we do but we do feel like three of the young guys putting wise men in the group with moody and camiga. they are young but we do think they can play in the mba and give us rotation minutes, but we still do need to surround the team with vets and that's the plan for agency. baseball the a's have had a rough june just three wins this month three and 17 with six games to play including today in kansas city condiment races. you got ketchup taken down relish and that's a race really mustard shouldn't have won but mustard is the winner a scored twice in the top of the first bottom one royals threatening, but tony kemp with a great catch to save some runs for sure bull
