house. drew: new year's eve is much better. you get the clear skies and the fireworks. this morning humidity has been on the rise over the past 24 hours. temperatures mid and upper 60's as you step outside. the lightest layers all that's needed when you combine the temperatures. it's also overcast. we are going to hang on to a lot of this cloud cover throughout the morning and early afternoon. we will get some late day sunshine but we will keep the humidity and temperatures for the most part generally in the 60's and 70's. we will talk about when we get rid of this humidity and warmer weather. reggie: new details about the mass shooting at a july 4 parade in the chicago suburb of highland park. two of the six people killed have now been identified. one of them was a grandfather,

73-year-old nicolas toledo. he worked in the area for many years. his family said he was a humorous man who loved to fish. the other victim identified is jacki sundheim. jobina: police now have a 22-year-old man in custody calling him a person of interest. he has not been charged. the fbi and local authorities are questioning him. six people were killed and at least 31 others sent to the hospital when the shooter sprayed from a rooftop down onto the local independence day parade. at least 25 of the victims had gunshot wounds including a child who is in critical condition right now. according to the gun violence archive, this adds to the long list of more than 300 mass shootings in the country this year. politicians are once again calling for tighter gun control. >> while we celebrate the fourth

kumasi: the mood shifted as word of the mass shooting spread. one person in antioch said he would like at least one gun law relaxed. >> i would like if it wasn't so hard to get a concealed carry license. i protect my family if anything happens. kumasi: the mayor of antioch said the city had a safety plan in place that included speeding up response times, having at least 40 officers on patrol and using drones. reggie: there was another incident in philadelphia were two police officers were shot. one officer hit in the shoulder. the other suffered a graze wound to the head. the gunfire set off a chaotic scene as hundreds of people ran for safety. police have not identified a suspect in that shooting. we sent this notification on our

consequences of unsanctioned july 4 celebrations. we heard from a family that lost their home because of suspected illegal fireworks. >> good morning. firefighters were very busy. it was a very active weekend here in the east bay. there were several fires sparked by illegal fireworks. firefighters responded to a house fire in pittsburgh. you can see the flames in the distraction. it's believed fireworks started the fire in the backyard of this home and then it spread into the home and quickly spread up into the roof of this home. the family including their dog in tears as they evacuated. >> it wasn't necessarily my neighbors or anything, but we heard them all around.
