was perched on a roof above the parade when he fired out over 70 rounds on families below. vice president, harris visited the area and is calling out a ban on assault weapons. >> we need to end this horror. we need to stop this violence and we need to protect our communities from the terror of gun violence. i have said it before, enough is enough. karina: police revealed that the suspect planned the attack for weeks, he was spotted in women's clothing to cover up his tattoos. we also learned of two prior encounters with police in 2019 before he filed paperwork to buy guns. he cleared for background checks to buy the rifle to carry out this attack. reggie: we are learning more about the victims killed in this attack.

what officials are seeing and what you need to know. they are seeing an uptick in monkeypox cases. the ceo of the foundation gave a statement saying we need vaccines for monkeypox and we need them now. their clinic has only received 60 doses, not nearly enough from everyone who could benefit from one. if the city does not act swiftly and boldly we will see a lot more cases. monkeypox vaccines are in short supply nationwide and getting an appointment to get one can be difficult. reach out to our medical professional if you get symptoms. >> we want to know if someone has been in direct contact with someone with symptoms so we can vaccinate them.
