deck no one in the car was hurt which was her husband and a couple of the kids. the car was fried. might have to get a new car after that but it shows when there is lightning if you get in a still cage and you don't touch any of the metal, the lightning will pass right through it into the ground and you should be ok which is what happened here. we did have a little bit of drizzle this morning. a few sprinkles. we are seeing the clouds breaking up. the marine layer is going to come back tonight. bring us some drizzle especially the closer you are to the coast. high-pressure is going to start taking over. that will bring us a gradual warming and start to drive the air mass out. hot afternoons. we have them for only a couple of days. all the clouds are due to just the mild and humid air mass as it comes into the higher elevations.

because when one cancellation happens, often times that leads to a number of cancellations down the road. second, don't check a bag if possible. i have two young kids. it is difficult not to check a bag. if you have the option, avoiding that line is now my going to save you time but will also mean if you need to be rebooked, you don't have a bag sitting on some plane somewhere that is going to make things more difficult. the last thing i would say is perspective. as awful as the summer has been for travel and flight cancellations, distilled effect 97, 90 8% of flights on most days are flying normally. when i have folks asked me should i go ahead and cancel my travel plans because i'm hearing about these cancellations, i try to remind folks the odds are very good. 19 of 20 flights are flying. on most days, even higher.
