the fire has burned so intense that it is said to -- hundreds of feet in the air. some of these trees are thousands of years older. in fact, the sprinkler system was set around a grizzly giant, the second largest tree. it is estimated to be almost 3000 years old. another big concern, air-quality along the park which has reached very unhealthy levels. and air-quality alert has been issued for the bay area for today. >> any types of serious smoke impacts for the community. most of the smoke we will see will not be at the ground level, so it will not be affecting people. >> people staying at a nearby campground were told to evacuate. yosemite national park is over 1000 acres. in some parts remain open but a

out of control in yosemite national park. it has grown over 2000 acres with 0% containment. one big concern is air quality, which could start to impact the bay area. the fire has been burning since last week, more than 500 firefighters are on the front lines. the fire has burned so intense it is said to bring hundreds of feet in the air. air quality in and around the park has reached unhealthy levels. wildfire smoke is spreading north of the sierra nevada. temperatures are expected to rise and reach the lower 90's in the coming days. one thing that has helped firefighters, the wind has been pretty calm. the plume of smoke it's heading north and can drift into the bay area. an air quality advisory has been issued for today. >> we are hopeful we do not have any issues like orange sky or any serious impact for issues in the community. >> fire officials are working to
