5:34 am
gone up. it is one of the largest in the game's history and it does not beat the $1.5 billion from a few years ago but still a lot of money, even after taxes that is $400 million. let us talk about raising cane's and they are doing something pretty unique. the founder bought 50,000 tickets, one for each crewmember. that does out -- that comes out to $16,000 if they win. that is not an $800 million prize if you end up winning it or 400 million tax -- $400 million after taxes. that is a genuine one thing to do, if they end up winning since the odds are higher, it will be a payout for a lot of the employees who walk away with $16,000. we mentioned earlier at the top of the show that if i helped collect for the team and we win we will have to think of something on how we evenly
5:35 am
distributed. i think me and steeple take most of money and i will share the rest for the rest of the morning show team. kumasi: not probably. ryan: it will be some money, but it just depends on how much morning -- money do we end up giving you. kumasi: that is not going to work. reggie: this is exactly why do not mess with us. it tears people apart, it tears families apart. kumasi: it tears families apart? [laughter] reggie: look at people who win lotteries. kumasi: that is true. ryan: i do not think i want to look that up at this moment. but you know what, i will be ok in the end, it is just a matter of how much money do we divided up by? kumasi: i will come up with a contract, just you wait. reggie: you all have fun. ryan: it sounds like a great plan. kumasi: there are new warning signs this morning about the economy. walmart has slashed its profit
5:36 am
forecast and we know that this is coming before we get critical data that could show that we are heading into a recession. jobina: this announcement is a big concern for investors. walmart says inflation has driven up the price of food and gas so much that shoppers are cutting back on high profit items like clothes. yesterday the shares dropped by 10%. the former ceo says the move to lower its profit outlook mid-quarter is rare. >> i know they did it once when i was there and i've been gone for a long time. this is an inter-period morning that is very uncommon for walmart. jobina: all of this is coming days before the commerce department is ready to set a major release that is anticipated to show america's economy shrinking for a second consecutive quarter, generally understood to be a recession. president biden and the white house are downplaying some of the fears. the president hopes "god
5:37 am
willing" that we do not enter a recession. one positive sign for all of us has to be the gas prices because they have been dropping since last month. the average price is down to $5.70 a gallon that is from $6.32 a gallon a month ago. reggie: a san francisco couple is scratching their heads over a strange parking problem. they were issued a fine for parking in a space painted red while they were parked in it. we went to sf mta to get the bottom of what happened. >> as with many neighborhoods in san francisco finding a place to park can build a desk can be a bit of a full-time sport so if you have a regular spot like desiree and jeff you will park in it. >> any time it is open i've been parking there for 25 years. >> what happened to them one week ago was a first. >> we came out from the store and i noticed the ticket on my car. >> desiree had been hit with a
