joins us now at the bart station with more on this. >> the board decided whether or not they want to reinstate yet another mask mandate. you mentioned it. one just expired 10 days ago, but here we are discussing the possibility of continuing masking requirements on bar, and when you are through a paid area on bart. they say they will be discussing this around 8:00 this evening. if they do pass this, you'll be required to wear a mask in any area that is a paid area when you are through the gate. if it does pass, you could see the mandate put in place as early as tomorrow morning. bart has mentioned multiple times that they're trained to a strong job circulating air. they say it replaces air about every 77 seconds when you are on

like a bomb. the impact and the noise, he thought a bomb had gone off. >> it all started with a road rage incident at lombardi and laguna. one driver flashed a gun and fired shots before speeding away. the gunshots were heard in this cellphone video. she works by and said she heard the incident happened. >> so scary. very worried. >> after the driver sped off, police made contact several miles away and the chase began. it came to an end when the driver crashed into and flipped a white truck going the other way on market. neither driver were injured in law enforcement have detained two people from the suspect vehicle. reggie: on our abc7news app, we

reggie: breaking news. a major economic report from the commerce department has been released and it shows what experts predicted. the gdp shrank .9% in the last quarter. that means it is the second straight quarter of economic contraction, a signal for possible recession. however, the biden administration said yesterday back to back quarters of negative wrote not necessarily signal recession. officials say the strong labor market is a sign that recession is unlikely right now. yesterday, the fed raised interest rates by three quarters of a percentage point in an effort to tame inflation. kumasi: jetblue is agreed to by spirit airlines in a deal that would make it the fifth largest airline carrier in the u.s. the wall street journal is reporting the purchase is somewhere around $3.8 billion. jetblue and frontier that been in a bidding war over spirit.

san francisco's board of supervisors is calling on the federal government to step in and pause the outgoing transfer of patient from laguna honda hospital. this after four patients died after they were moved to other facilities. earlier this week, the board approved two resolutions. one is urging the health and human services secretary to intervene in the transfer. the other urges governor newsom to declare a state of emergency at the hospital. laguna honda was decertified in april after federal inspectors found it to be out of compliance with basic standards of care. the san francisco department of health is working to get it recertified before it is forced to close in september. reggie: san francisco's justi hastings law school is close to getting a new name. the board of directors
