appstore. we will keep you updated. all right now to the weekend weather. let's go to abc seven news meteorologist sandy patel with what changes could be on the way and not her financial picture. you didn't win either. tonight. i guess sandy didn't dan, i don't want to cry right now. now we're talking weather. okay so it's a stable pattern right now. we have the low clouds of fog, some mist and drizzle out there. we're watching on live doppler seven. the desert southwest monsoon flow has been moving into the region now, so far today that the under storms up across northern california some showers over the sierra nevada not expected to remain there. here's the story this area of low pressure up to the north and the monsoon flow will get drawn up by the low, but we're also watching this hurricane frank. it is expected to weaken remnants of frank. combining potentially with the monsoon moisture and that moisture

increases across the bay area on sunday, which could lead to the potential for some thunderstorms and showers going into monday. so it's really the sunday monday time period. the reason why we're concerned is if there is no rain accompanying it, dan the dry lightning could start new wildfires. i'll be back with a complete look at the forecast, which includes the weekend and more on the lightning potential coming up. that's always a risk, isn't it? okay sandy, thanks very much to you shortly. san jose police are at the scene where a vehicle struck a juvenile riding a bicycle this evening, it happened on winfield boulevard near blossom hill road. young bicyclist has serious injuries. we understand it has been taken to a nearby hospital. police say the child has been stabilized. at least that's good news. the driver of the car is cooperating with police. and has remained at the scene of this. a terrible accident right now to the monkey pox virus. san francisco has the most number of cases within any bay area county with 305 people infected at last count, alameda

county is in the red with 50 cases. angeles and san francisco counties make up 66% of the cases across the state data shows individuals infected with the virus identify as gay. for the most part 98% of positive cases are men, california senators alex padilla and dianne feinstein have put in a request for nearly 800,000 doses of the monkey pox vaccine. all right. moving on. we have new details about what happened. but sonoma county sheriff's deputy shot and killed a man this morning in geyserville. the sheriff's office says one deputy taste the man before another deputy shot him. this all happened about 10 o'clock this morning in a rural area of thomas road. the taser apparently had no effect on the man who appeared to be holding a weapon. they say he refused to drop. the sheriff's deputies were there because they got a call that the man was acting strangely there since 5 30 this morning, and now now he's stolen an atv and he's going again
