police are investigating after a vehicle struck a child last night. the young bicyclist has serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. police say the child has been stabilized. the driver of the car is cooperating with police and remained at the scene at the accident. and now to the monkeypox cases -- 305 people infected in the bay areahe bay area. allen media -- alameda county is in the red, as well. data shows individuals infected with the virus are predominately identifying as gay. 95% of positive cases are men. alex padilla and dianne feinstein have put in a request for 800,000 doses of the monkeypox vaccine. and a berkeley based lab is ramping up monkeypox testing due to the current outbreak. the ceo says the lab has the

abc7news they believe they were followed from a bank in san leandro. police are offering a $75,000 reward in a 26 teen homicide in -- 2016 homicide investigation in the tenderloin. they believe the man riding on this bicycle could be a suspected killer. police have images from several angles, one shows the suspect wearing a giants cap and a t-shirt with the word "fringe on " on the back. the seven day average of covid-19 cases is now going back up. face masks are again required on bart. the board of directors will decide in september whether to extend the mandate passed october 1. adults who don't live with kids under five were nearly twice as likely to have severe covid.
