act. >> are newly unsealed warrant shedding light on the on presented ash unprecedented search of former president donald trump's mar-a-lago property. the search warrant revealing a just took 27 boxes of government records from the former presidents riemer residents. including 11 classified documents, some marked top secret. one of them top-secret as ei, meaning only a select through government officials until the high security clearances can view them in a highly secure location. >> and a disclosure in of that information, it incurred great harm into the national security of the united states. >> forces tell abc news the documents had sensitive material with national security applications. the washington post also reporting some of the material included documents related to nuclear weapons. the warrant suggests agents were investigating violations related to the espionage act. unlawful removal of public records as well as obstruction of justice bike concealing,

altering, or destroying records to impede an investigation. after the national archives retrieved six -- 15 boxes of records in january, the justice department initiated a criminal investment trying to retrieve the documents from trump's property. sources telling abc news the doj issued a subpoena for the material in the spring. a small group of fbi agent's then visited trump's property in june to review the sensitive material. the investigation ultimately escalating to the search of trump's home. >> the department does not take such a decision lightly. faith: a spokesperson for trump says the deal claims are outrageous adding without evidence that the department of justice lied. the intelligent bit -- intelligence committee asking the justice department releasing more information. >> the fbi raid a president trump is an abuse and overreach of authority. >> republicans continue to threaten the doj and investigation of their own

agency if they take back control of congress. they claim is that is about oversight and transparency. liz: we sent this notification on our news app as we reported the fbi's finding. if you'll breaking news like that in the future, download our app and search abc 7 news bay area in the app store. a man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a flywheel taxi in san francisco. this happened in mcalester last -- on vanessa and mcallister after 8:00 last night. officers say the victim was a pedestrian but it is unclear what led to the crash. the driver of the car is cooperating. drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor. police are asking any witnesses to contact the department. two people arrested following a fatal shooting of a new driver -- of an uber driver last month in oakland. the shooting, which was caught on camera, has rocked the community. news reporter tim johns spoke with the victims fiance and shares her reaction.

tim: tim: on july 17, patrick was gunned down near the saigon neighborhood in what the police have called in attempted robbery. video shows him sitting inside his car before being approached by two people. when they tell him to get out of the vehicle and he does not, the shot that ended his life could be heard. >> i could not sleep, i could not eat and i have a very hardship in this moment. tim: his fiancee, judy, who did not want to show her face on camera, spoke to us on friday with the help of translators. the police department announced they had arrested two people in connection with the murder. >> i feel a little bit comfortable because now the two killers were arrested. tim: in the aftermath of his death, the oakland chinatown improvement council hosted a -- help set up a gofundme for

judy and the rest of his family. it has raised over $100,000, a milestone they attribute to people being able to relate to the type of person he was. >> he hard-working and he took care of family, and he was going to marry soon. tim: the council has been in touch with judy nearly every day since the shooting. they say as crimes against the apf community have risen, they have become more determined to help people like judy. >> we are different. we are more likely to stand up to crime. tim: opd's investigation is still ongoing as they continue to look for more possible suspects. but for those they already caught, judy says she hopes they are held accountable. >> i hope they can just like the judge will give a hard sentence. tim: in oakland, tim johns, abc 7 news.

liz: new details. at least 12 people are displaced after a crash sparked a large fire at an apartment building in san jose. a car clipped a gas line before crashing into the building. it happened near callahan park near 4:00 yesterday. four units have damaged. nearby residents say the fire happened in an instant. >> i was driving my kid from daycare and i saw the car on fire. i think it hit a gas line and the whole building went on fire in a matter of seconds. a scary moment. liz: the driver was not hurt. a firefighter was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries after the vehicle tire exploded. fire crews were working with pg&e to shut off the gas lines. >> unfortunately, the vehicle hit right where the meter is so we were unable to get to the actual shut off valve so that is why we are working with pg&e to take out the line. liz: fire crews were able to knock down the fire and will remain on the scene to monitor hotspot. the fight to reopen an oakland

school continues. several dozen people gathered yesterday outside of the closed parker elementary school. they held a vigil in solidarity with those occupying the school, many of them have been there since may. parker is one of several schools the school board recently voted to close due to budget concerns. the district condemned the vigil saying the group is trespassing and that they are not allowed to host any events on campus. even so, they plan to hold a town hall meeting at parker tomorrow. san francisco remains the hotspot in the bay area with over 500 confirmed cases of monkeypox. santa clara and alameda county have over 50 each. getting the vaccine in san -- getting the monkeypox vaccine seems to be easier in san francisco. zach reks san francisco hospital is offering vaccines. we spoke with the hospital ceo about the clinic. reporter: morning after morning people seeking the monkeypox vaccine have lined up at zuckerberg san francisco general hospital.

>> i think the gay community is trying to get vaccinated for monkeypox. at first, it was hard. reporter: noah was no exception. >> we have to have it. i am glad to get it today and i hope everybody who needs it can get it. reporter: he has been trying for weeks to get in with no luck because of limited supply. noah: but it is so frustrating. we need this. we are hearing more stories of monkeypox and it is horribly painful and outrageous that we have not been given the vaccines we need. reporter: the hospital's ceo tells us that's about the change as they are offering the first week in vaccine clinic this saturday at 8:00 in an effort to provide equal access to these vaccines for everyone. >> now we want to make sure is that we are available to everyone in the community because we want to make sure that we are is convenient and meeting people where they need to be met as possible. reporter: san francisco received around 10,000 monkeypox vaccine doses at the beginning of the week.

the man was arrested after the attack. a motive is under investigation. he has been the subject of death threats for decades because of a book he wrote in 1988 upset many -- 1988 that upset many in the muslim community. actress and haitian has died -- actress anne heche has died. a blood test revealed narcotics were in her blood but there was no alcohol. she was declared brain-dead thursday night but have been kept on life support for organ donation. she is survived by her two sons. a historic bay area dojo could be on the brink of closure because of a rent hike. san francisco news was at a dojo. it was founded in 1968 by someone who was incremental in bringing tyco drumming to the u.s. we spoke to his son about the rent increase. >> we are currently paying $2700 per month. the rent will be more than

double, almost triple, to what the market rate is. at first, i thought they were crazy, they were trying to scare us with this big number. liz: the dojo has until the end of the month to find a new location. it is asking for donation on its website to find a new spot. here at abc7 we are committed to building a better bay area. sacred heart community center did its part. yesterday the organization held its annual pack a backpack event. they gave away 3800 backpacks filled with school supplies based on the grade level. >> inflation is a big deal this year. everything is more expensive, especially basic things. our families often tell us that by getting the backpacks and the school supplies, that is allowing them to set aside money for the rent or food. liz: according to the national retail federation, families are predicted to spend $160 more on back-to-school supplies compared to previous years.

low clouds and fog and it will be patchy. the marine they will be depressed in this morning, there is not a lot of it either. about 1000 feet and it is bringing in a great start to the peninsula here. sfo, very cloudy but temperatures in the 70's today, plenty of sun, breezy winds, 60 oakland, 50 four palo alto, 57 with the clouds in san jose, 51 santa clara, half moon bay at 54, and you can see this area of the south bay, the shark tank, nice and clear. the sun coming up a couple minutes. 49 santa rosa, 52 petaluma, 59 out by the delta with the southwest wind as 60 in concord and livermore is cooler. fog in the north bay but the 24 hour temperature change is notable. anywhere from two to four degrees cooler as the ocean temperature has dropped with pretty good northwesterly winds offshore. as we look at emeryville, look at that gray. leading to a beautiful day as

the fog clears out in the next kawhi hours. it will be a quicker warm up of brighter morning -- up, a brighter morning. the bayside and inland communities come up another three to maybe six degrees today. warmer tomorrow near 100 degree heat inland next week. call that monday, tuesday, wednesday, and at the same time relative humidity increases as high clouds move up from the south. we will see any rain -- not see any rain but it will feel muggy running. here's the next few days as the clouds quickly clear today. a sunny and breezy afternoon in our beaches and by the overnight hours, the fog is back. patchy in the east bay, another sunny afternoon, and it does set up the fog again from half moon bay to pacifica. sun, breezy wines, into monday morning. you can see the patchy fog in monday afternoon as the heat really begins to build inland. we will notice the fog back that shrinks even more so. highs tomorrow from low to mid

90's inland and we will see the upper 80's on the bayshore. not a lot of change of the coast. a look at the north bay, triple digits cloverdale, clear lake, upper 80's to near 90 in the south bay and as we look at tuesday, this looks to be the warmest day with temperatures well into the 100 degree range. highs today comfortable, 76 san mateo, 86 napa, so that is a warm up. 93 fairfield, 84 san jose, and looking at the low 90's in morgan, just a little fog along the coast at times. the acura seven-day forecast, 60's at our beaches, upper 70's bayshore, mid 90's inland, coming up another four to five degrees tomorrow. the summer sizzle is on, monday, tuesday, wednesday, around the bay and and lynn the coast is the place to be if you want to be the heat and still feel quite hot as we get into the rest of the week. maybe not noticing much of a change as humidity makes us feel sticky. liz: it has been so humid this

liz: a championship diving competition is bringing the best of the best together in one pool. among those competing, a 94-year-old east bay man. abc7news reporter cornell barnard shows us bob sherman is still diving in. cornell: divers from across the country are making a splash at this year's usa master diving championship at college of nur in in nevado. bob sherman from lafayette would not miss this chance on the three meter springboard.

at 94 years old, bob legend on the diving circuit. >> my specialty is probably the front dive full twist. what could be more exciting? cornell: a navy veteran from world war ii, bob has been in the water since he was a kid. he founded the sherman swim school in lafayette. >> i learned to swim when i was four or five years old. cornell: he has been diving for more than 50 years. >> he was one of the founders of this event. he comes out and he does incredible things and he has the whole country cheering for him. cornell: later this weekend he will be taking his diving to new heights on the five meter platform.

finding solutions. this is abc 7 news. liz: good morning. liz: thanks for joining us. we start this half-hour with another check of the weather so let's get over to lisa. lisa: good morning. we have a dramatic looking marine layer, the view from emeryville, we can see the low cloud deck and sunshine. -- sunshine trying to light of the bay a bit. 58 san francisco, 60 oakland, 54 palo alto, and we have fog on the coast. the marine layer here from sutro and above, the dry air, 49 in santa rosa, low 50's petaluma, 60 concord, 55 livermore. 24 hour temperature change two to five degrees cooler this morning but we reverse that trend by 9:00. as temperatures are in the 60's to near 70 inland. the warmer day arriving in the north bay, the south bay by noontime, upper 70's. the peninsula, you catch up with the sea breeze in the afternoon but upper 70's mountain view in the afternoon, low to mid 90's

arriving inland. the fog returns but the heat will get cranked up for this week. liz: thank you. developing news, u.s. government employees in tijuana and parts of california have been instructed to shelter-in-place after reports of violence. the u.s. consulate in tijuana released a tweet saying they are aware of reports of multiple vehicle fires, roadblocks, and heavy police activity. the san diego union-tribune reports that many people took shelter in tijuana after burning vehicles appeared throughout the city in what is suspected to be a coordinated active organized crime. we will keep you updated on any developments. more developing news from spain. officials there say one person is dead and 17 others are injured after a stage collapsed at a musical festival. you can see the crowd of people sitting through that gust of wind. those winds brought down part of

the stage at the festival. festival management suspended the festival for the time being while emergency crews worked on site. spain's national weather service post on twitter that warm breezes were producing the winds that impacted the music festival. at home, president biden and democrats celebrating a major victory on capitol hill. yesterday, the inflation reduction act tightly passed along party lines. it is the biggest climate fighting investment in history and helps people with prescription drug costs. but the bill is still receiving pushback. abc news reporter karina mitchell has more. karina: a big win for president biden. >> the motion is adopted. for americans buying their own insurance, allows medicare for the first time to negotiate the price of certain drugs, and limits out-of-pocket drug costs for seniors on medicare to $2000 per year. it also raises taxes on the largest corporations and wealthiest americans. but the nonpartisan congressional budget office says the changes would have a negligible impact on inflation the next two years, a sentiment echoed by the analysis at the warden school at the university of pennsylvania. republicans believe the bill will hurt middle america. >> kind of unnecessary. if you think the tax cut is so complicated and difficult to enforce, then simplify the tax code. that would be the proper solution to that instead of trying to catch middle america and their mistakes, which you obviously will make with their taxes. karina: president biden will sign the bill into law next week and hold a celebration next month. karina mitchell, abc news, new

millions ending the lawsuit. this settles the final portion of the lawsuit filed by clark -- by clark's family. in 2019, the city agreed to pay 2.4 clark's children. his parents became sole plaintiffs in the lawsuit. stephan clark was killed after being shot by sacramento police in march of 2018. officers mistook a cell phone he was holding for a firearm. vice-president kamala harris was back home in the east bay yesterday where she made a big announcement that will impact thousands of oakland kids. the generation fund is a $50 million investment in saving accounts and scholarships. oakland will deposit $500 in a college savings account for every baby born into a low ats just the first step. v.p. harris: this beautiful city will give every graduating open public school student from low income families a $1000 per year scholarship to attend college or learn a trade. liz: the generation fund will serve more than 30,000 students

with the college savings and scholarships combined and the fund will be available through 2035. climate safety concerns in oakland especially downtown is prompting action. the police department announced it will have an increased presence across the area this weekend. they will be limiting traffic there. the moves follows -- the move follows two separate deadly shootings saturday. two others were wounded. the increased violence was the topic of town hall meetings hosted by the mayor this past week. the bacteria that causes legionnaires' disease has been found that more locations in napa county. investigators discovered high levels inside of a cooling tower at the county hall of justice. it was also found in a pond at the embassy suites hotel in -- on california boulevard. lastly, the bacteria was identified in a cooling tower at that hotel. legionnaires' disease is a type of pneumonia caused by bacteria that grows in water, often from air conditioning units, hot

tubs, fountains, or plumbing systems. 13 people in napa county have been diagnosed with the disease. -- disease since july 11. one person died. two others remain in the hospital. one by one, cruise lines are dropping their covid-19 vaccination requirements. next month, four cruise lines are making the change for some of their sailings. for trips less than 16 days, carnival cruise lines and princess cruises will no longer require guests to apply for a vaccination exemption, and on certain routes, royal caribbean and celebrity cruises will welcome all passengers who meet testing requirement. virtual online doctor visits became common during the pandemic. their success is fueling a rapid expansion into homecare for vulnerable patients. abc7news reporter david louis shows us the next generation of telehealth. david: 72-year-old zenny suffered two strokes, leaving her vulnerable to falling. she can credit a good recovery thanks to telehealth. her lifeline is a mobile phone app from connecticut home
