these mental health care workers say they are dealing with a new influx of patients and that is causing their system to be stretched here they need more staffing to deal with more people seeking a variety of mental health treatments. over the weekend, they prepared for the day, getting picket signs ready at the emeryville location, going on to what we see is a strike hopefully happening shortly this morning. the union represents those health-care workers who plan on striking from southern california to here in the bay area or the workers say they have been seeing more patients asking for psychologists, marriage and family counseling and substance abuse counseling and they need help to get people the care they need. >> we have patients waiting 2, 3, 4 months for the next appointments. we all know you can't do any psychotherapeutic care when you have weight times like that. -- wait times like that.
