that agents talk is passports. jobina: the justice department is keeping to fight the affidavit used to obtain the search warrant sealed. it includes information that could harm their investigation if it is made public including witness information and details that have national security implications. it comes as investigators tried to figure out if the documents taken from mar-a-lago contain national security secrets and if they were compromised. the investigation could include fingerprint analysis. >> trying to figure out who knew what when we had access to what when from a chain of custody perspective. jobina: trump took to social media to accuse fbi agent's of stealing his passports. he has three, and expired one, a diplomatic passport and the regular passport. the department of justice said it was an error and returned those. separately from the doj investigation members of the

senate intelligence committee are asking for access to the documents and an assessment of potential risks to national security. reggie: there are more cases of legionnaires' disease in the bay area this time in the south bay. a couple from long beach contracted the sickness which is a type of pneumonia after staying in the aloft hotel. days later they experience exhaustion, upset stomachs, fevers, and difficulty breathing. >> i resisted going to the er thinking that i am just really tired, this will pass. quite frankly, i really do not remember from wednesday on. reggie: this was very serious. dan and rena had to -- dan and rita had to go to the hospital. they were there for -- rita was there for five days dan was there to nine. they trace bacteria to the hot tub at the hotel. it is close while it is being disinfected. we reached out to aloft and its

parent company marriott, but have not heard back. kumasi: striking kaiser permanente mental health workers will be picketing in front of medical centers today. they first walked off yesterday demanding that kaiser hire more therapists. they will be picketing at medical centers in santa clara, oakland, and santa rosa. nearly 2000 workers are staging pickets from sacramento to fresno. kaiser said it is still the -- still able to meet the needs of patients. reggie: dublin residents are back in their home after a fire for some to evacuate. flames broke out before 5:00 last night. the fire burns dangerously close to some homes before firefighters got the upper hand. at last check it had burned 60 acres. here the reporter cashiers are reporter tim johns. tim: call a little bit closer to home. she showed us the charred exterior of her home after a

grasses on fire it moves quickly and it can run a pills fast. tim: residents say that they are thankful to the fire crews for a job well done. >> they do an excellent job and they took care of it. reggie: firefighters in placer county are dealing with spot fires as they work on a fire burning along interstate 80 in colfax. it started when a big rig crashed and caught fire. flames spread to nearby brush. the fire has burned 17 acres and a zero consent -- 0% contained. crews are making progress. mandatory evacuation orders were lifted overnight. you can track any of these wildfires by using our online interactive wildfire tracker and it shows current air quality. kumasi: an excessive heat watch and spare the air alerts are in effect as i temperatures are supposed to hit the area. many inland cities could see temperatures as high as 106

degrees today. ryan curry is live with more. ryan: we have not seen too many days like these, these really hot days in the bay area. of course we are still in august and these days are common and we could see them, and that is what is happening today. what does this mean for us in the bay area? if you are in the east bay that means you can expect to see a very hot day mixed with not so good air quality. you will be looking at a very dirty and not so clean looking sky. the bay area air quality management district issuing a spare the air alerts meaning that they want you at the very least to avoid driving and adding to the pollution. some of the wildfire smoke from up north has made its way down there and we are talking about very hot days and very stale air which will not be a good one for those who are outside. some of the areas reaching a potential unhealthy air quality level but right now we are

looking at a moderate level, that is of course not so good if you are one -- someone who has respiratory distress. if you are one of those people, the district always advises that once it gets to a certain level or reaches the unhealthy threshold that if you have that precondition respiratory illness you just avoid rigorous outdoor activity and stay outside -- inside where its nice and cool and the air is cleaner. if you are not in that category remember that it will be a hot one. it is already starting to feel a lot hotter than it usually is, so of course that means you cannot -- you can expect it to be a hot one in the east bay. we are live in walnut creek. drew: walnut creek will be one of the hottest cities along with some of the poorest air quality. here is a live look from the east bay hills camera. i can see a lot bright lights and we are mainly fog free. here is air quality forecast, moderate to poor air quality

one, and i can tell you that this day feels exactly like that. you can already kinda feel the stale air, knowing that this one will be a hot one in the east bay. temperatures you mentioned possibly climbing past 100 degrees. a heat advisory, we will see that later on. but right now we are seeing the more pressing issue, the spare the air alert. the air quality management district forecasting the air quality to rise into the unhealthy range for parts of the east bay and other inland areas. this has to do with the fact that we are seeing smoke from wildfires up north making its way down to the bay area. you mix that with the heat and you know that it will be a hot and hazy day. already in the morning we are seeing air quality in the moderate region, which is climbing in certain areas. officials at the management district say that they want people at the very least to avoid driving, just to help reduce the pollution. that means if you are somebody

reggie: three people including two minors have been arrested for the violent robbery of a 70-year-old asian woman. officers are searching for a fourth suspect who is also a juvenile. you can see the victim in the video, she was beaten and robbed in her apartment complex on francisco street july 31. the video helped police identify one of the suspects, daryl morey who is known by police in several cities. another suspect is 13 years old and a 14-year-old is still wanted. the youngest suspect is 11 years old. the charges include robbery, elder abuse, burglary, and false imprisonment. >> we have seen a continued wave of horrible and despicable attacks, and we know that they are not isolated incidents. reggie: the 18-year-old suspect will be charged as an adult and the others will be prost of -- processed through the juvenile justice system. the 11-year-old might be too

young to charge -- to be charged with the crime. kumasi: a san francisco hospital can keep its doors open a bit longer thanks to a federal expansion. they have two months to develop a closure plan extending the closing date to november 13. >> we see this is a good thing, it allows us to focus our efforts on our number one priority, which is recertification so that it can continue or resume its enrollment of medicare and medicaid programs. kumasi: the nursing home serve 600 people. transfers and discharges of current residents will be on hold. new admissions have been pause. the facility lost its certification in april after failing to meet standards of care under federal regulations. tonight councilmembers will be holding a town hold to discuss the company that owns seton medical center. the meeting comes days after nurses passed a vote of no-confidence for the hospital's administrator.

they are calling for an investigation into revenue and spending saying that patients have been harmed due to chronic understaffing and a lack of supplies. seton issued a statement saying that they were working to hire more staff and pledged to improve infrastructure at the hospital. reggie: american airlines is cutting tens of thousands of flights from its november schedule. it is a 16% reduction. the per luminary schedules are made almost a year in advance and get adjusted closer to the flight date. the company says the changes are proactive adjustments in accordance with the resources available and for extra buffer in the rest of their summer schedule. united and delta made cuts to their summer schedule as well. kumasi: two brothers are on the walk of a lifetime that is truly a labor of love. they are hoping to help children who they say are left behind in a broken foster care system. they were born into the foster care system 27 years ago and
