joined the search team. with that, we say good evening and thank you for joining us. a first today in effort to combat the spread of monkeypox in the bay area. vaccination opportunities are expanding for those seeking a shot. today we saw monk position clinics open in the north and east bay. cornell bernard was there. >> redman. reporter: fernando was among the first in line to get a monks monkeypox virginia tech monday. >> i just got my first dose of the vaccine and i'm excited about it and a little bit less stress. reporter: fernando says he's waited for weeks to get the shot. >> it's been very hard for me to get the shot. reporter: queens, kings, and vaccines provided access to more than 120 doses.

early morning fire in oakland that forced nine people out of their homes. no one was injured. investigates say that fire started somewhere outside but near the back of the house. moving on to developing news, evacuation orders were lifted this morning. in a wildfire burning in lake county. the fire ignited last night west of lower lake. a witness shared video of the water-dropping helicopters making one of many paces over -- passes over the fire zone. cal fire says they've managed to stop forward progress. that fire has burned 14 ache and he is is 80% contained. right now more than 12 million people are under flood alerts and watches. this is a look at flooding this weekend in moab, utah. morgan shows us the dealings with the deluge. reporter: from extreme drought to extreme flooding. heavy rain heading east across several western states. at utah's zion national park,

with the parched soil as if it were concrete, leading to flash flooding. some areas of north text could see up to eight inches. abc news, los angeles. dion: spencer, what's the latest here? spencer: it looks like this rain is going to continue and it's moving eastward into other states, east of texas and oklahoma. see this area here in the southwest? these are monsoon range, are seasonal that occur here every year about this time. arizona and new mexico, parts of southern utah and colorado. that ball moisture has been moving eastward into texas and oklahoma the last couple of days, combining with another surge of moisture from the gulf of mexico fielding into these heavy rains. the lands there is so dry and paunched from being drought stricken for so long that it can't asorb the rainfall. that's producing the flooding in oklahoma and texas.
