exploratorium camera showing a fair amount of fog. low clouds this morning. a lot of sunshine this afternoon and temperatures warm quickly later on today. you are sunrise shortly after 6:30. 70's and 80's by lunchtime with a lot of sunshine. patchy fog along the coastline but today is the warmest afternoon we have all week. widespread 80's and 90's. some of our hottest spots will get into the upper 90's. will show you the rest of the week ahead in a few minutes. jobina: officials plan to update the search for missing teen kiely rodni. a group says they found the 16-year-old in her car and a reservoir just outside of truckee a few yards from where she was last seen. j.r.: and suo -- an suv pulled out of the creek in truckee late sunday afternoon.

authorities going so far as to cover the windows with tarps so no one could see inside. this is hours after divers who were part of a private search group on youtube called adventures with purpose posted to facebook we just found kiely rodni, cars upside down and only 14 feet of water. confirmed kylie is inside, family notified, law enforcement on the way. the nevada sheriff's office saying we are on scene and working with adventures with purpose to locate and remove the vehicle in question. we have not been able to confirm it is her vehicle or seat -- or she is inside. the vehicle taken out of the water looks just like the suv she was in. the 16-year-old was last seen on a party on august 6, one said to be a few hundred yards away from where this vehicle was found. authorities have put in around 20,000 man-hours in search for kylie.

adventures with purpose group have only been searching for 24 hours. a day after she went missing a friend told me to zoom -- told me on a zoom conversation she would've been heavily intoxicated and was unable to drive on the dirt road where the party was going on. she and others are heartbroken. many questions. the first is this her and how was she missed during the initial searches? the sheriff's office had just been talking about aircrews searching 80 miles from that location. what happened there? there is a press conference scheduled for 11:00 monday. j.r. stone, abc 7 news. reggie: this group adventures with partners was featured earlier this year on nightline. >> i started a youtube series

called adventures with purpose in july 2018. that was just getting in the water and showing what was out of sight, out of mind, pop cans, bottles. >> when did you make that shift from trying to clean something off the bottom of the lake to somehow trying to find all sorts of pieces of evidence from previous cases and find human bodies? >> it became a calling. a family reached out to me in the fall of 2019 to -- who had seen these videos on youtube and said we have lost loved one in missouri. we believe he is in the water. we have a cell phone. can you come help us because nobody else is helping us. reggie: on its website adventures with purpose says it has helped solve 23 missing persons cases -- missing persons cases since 2019.

now switch over to intradermal injections, which means injecting the vaccine between layers of skin. this will produce nearly 8000 doses of vaccine, five times the amount of files they are currently receiving. the hospital had been averaging 600 to 700 doses a day, spreading out their vaccine shipments over multiple days. we saw multiple monkeypox vaccine clinics over the weekend in nevada and oakland, hearing from many folks thankful to be getting the vaccine. >> i just got my first dose of the monkeypox vaccine and i am excited about it and a little bit less stressed. lena: this comes as cases of monkeypox are increasing across the bay area, san francisco reporting more than 600 cases. alameda and santa clara counties with more than 100 cases each.

naturally more than 14,000 americans have been infected with monkeypox, including a child under 18. the white house stepping up its effort to contain the outbreak, rolling out an additional 360,000 vials of vaccine doses in the last week. today's clinic for walk ups at zuckerberg san francisco general hospital is expected to start at 8:00 this morning and continue until 4:00 in the afternoon every day this week through saturday as long as the supply remains. no appointments are necessary and right now we have not seen any lines pop up but that is something we will keep an ion throughout the morning. for now we are live in san francisco, lena howland reporting for abc news. reggie: an asian woman was killed and attempted robbery in the bull saigon neighborhood. this happened yesterday afternoon.

jobina: a mother is fair to send her daughter back to school after she was brutally attacked on campus by another classmate. as abc 7 reporter justin dorsey explains, the mother is calling on the school to take safety more seriously. a warning, some of you may find the video disturbing. justin: new year, new school, new safety concerns just days after the return to campus, this graphic video from tuesday captures the moment a female student punters another girl repeatedly in the head. the school and school district are both aware of the video. it is still almost too much to handle when she watches it back.

how do you feel when you see this? >> i do not think i have words for how i feel. just the thought of it every night. i cry myself to sleep. justin: the student responsible was suspended for two days and the other girl suffered a concussion. another threat was made against the daughter. >> i got a call from one of the school administrators that they heard something was supposed to happen at lunchtime. it did not happen because she had so many adult eyes on her. justin: the school district told us the administration has put in additional safety measures and has a properly addressed all students. staff sent out a note to parents addressing this and several other incidents. it said "we need your help by having a conversation at home with your children about safety.

the staff: the students to speak up to prevent fights but she still worries about her daughter -- >> i do not feel comfortable taking to my daughter to school. justin: the letter it said safety is our key priority, but she says more needs to be done in the form of resource officers or extra staff security. she is concerned the school is not safe. >> it is hard. if this girl's parents saw somebody doing this to their child they would feel the exact same way and want the same changes we all want at school. reggie: students at the college of alameda are getting $500 off their fall semester. college administrators say the bowl is to invest in students by helping with the cost of their education. to qualify students have to enroll in three or more units or qualify for the fafsa or the college dream act.

pay around $5.37. two more committees are considering a ban on new gas stations. santa rosa and windsor may adopt initiative similar to those already in place in petaluma, sebastopol. the coalition opposing new gas stations is spearheading the push. the organization was started in sonoma county and says the goal is to get local governments to transition away from using fossil fuels. jobina: the city of oakland is in for a legal fight. it is an effort to allow noncitizens to vote in school board elections. oakland has the proposal. the same organizations that suit san francisco are now suing oakland to have the measure removed. they are arguing the oakland measure should be pulled because it has been proven to be unconstitutional. san francisco voters extended voting rights to noncitizens for the school board elections in
