finish to the weekend, today temperatures warm up again. visibility right now, we have some issues in the north bay. visibility down to half a mile. where we have a dense fog is limited to the valleys of the north bay. temperatures either side of 60 degrees around the bay shoreline, cooler in the north bay. a beautiful picture, this is the east bay hills camera as the sun is rising. sun is up at 6:31, we will find bright skies quickly. today is the warmest day all week, we will take a closer look at those numbers coming up. jobina: officials plan to update the search for kiely rodni after a private research group claims they found her body. they say the found the 16-year-old and her car, submerged in a reservoir. it is a few yards away from where she was last seen. reporter: an suv being pulled out of the reservoir in truckee

late sunday afternoon. authorities going so far as to cover the windows with tarps, so no one could see inside. it comes hours after divers part of a private search group on youtube called adventures with purpose posted to facebook saying, we just found kiely rodni. car upside down in 14 feet of water, we confirmed she is inside. family notified into law enforcement on the way. the nevada county sheriffs office saying we are on scene and working with adventures with purpose to locate and remove the vehicle in question. we have not been able to confirm it is her vehicle or she is inside. from a distance, you can see the vehicle taken out of the water looks just like the suv she was in. the 16-year-old was last seen at a party august 6, once it be just yards away from where the vehicle was found. authorities put in around 20,000 hours in search for, adventures

with purpose had only been searching for 24 hours when they claim to have found her, days after she went missing, a friend told me she was heavily intoxicated and would have been unable to drive away on the dirt road use to get to where the party was going on. the friend tells me late sunday she and others are broken. so many questions now, the first being is this her? if show -- so, how was she missed? was sonar used or not? the sheriff's office had just been talking about aircrews searching 80 miles from that location, so what happened? there is a press conference scheduled for 11:00 a.m. reggie: the search group was featured earlier this year on abc's nightline. the founders explain how they got into roaming the country

looking for missing people. >> i started a youtube series called adventures with purpose in july 2018. that was just getting in the water, showing what was out of sight and out of mind. picking up any garbage. >> when did you make the shift from cleaning something off the bottom of the lake to trying to find all sorts of pieces of evidence from previous cases and human bodies? >> it became a calling when a family reached out to me in the fall of 2019. they had seen the videos we were putting up, finding vehicles and pulling them out of the water. they said, we have a lost loved one in misery and believe he is in missouri. we have a cell phone ping at this boat map. can you help us because no one else's. reggie: on the website, they say they have solved 23 missing person cases since 2019.

this will produce nearly 8000 doses of the vaccine, five times the amount of vials they are receiving. prior to the new strategy, the hospital had been averaging giving about 600 to 700 doses a day, spreading out the shipments over multiple days. we saw multiple monkeypox vaccine clinics over the weekend in novato and oakland, hearing for many folks thankful to be getting the vaccine. >> just got my first note -- dose, i am excited. and little bit less stressed. reporter: this comes as cases increase across the bay area. san francisco reporting more than 600 cases, alameda and santa clara counties with more than 100 cases each. more than 14,000 americans have been infected with monkeypox since may, including a child under the age of 18 in new york

state. the white house is stepping of its effort to contain the outbreak, rolling out additional 316,000 vials last week. today's clinics for walk ups is expected to kick off at 8:00 this morning, we will continue until 4:00 every day this week through saturday, just as long as supplies last. no appointment necessary. abc7news. jobina: people with student loans can expect to hear news about their loans soon. over the weekend, the education secretary said a decision from the biden administration would come in the next week or so. this comes as the current pause on student loans is set to expire august 31. many urge the president to uphold his campaign promises of canceling large sums of student loans. according to the white house, he is considering canceling up to

santa rosa and windsor may adopt initiatives similar to those already in place in petaluma. the coalition opposing new gas stations is spearheading the push. the organization was started in sonoma county and 2019, it's is the goal was to get local governments to transition away from fossil fuels. jobina: the city of oakland is in for a legal fight similar to the one san francisco lost. it is in effort to allow noncitizens to vote in school board elections. oakland has a proposal on the november ballot with the same organizations that suit san francisco are suing oakland to have the measure removed. they argue it should be pulled because it has been proven to be unconstitutional. san francisco voters extended voting rights to noncitizens for the school board elections in 2016. the board of supervisors extended the law indefinitely in 2021. last month, the san francisco superior court judge ruled the decision was unconstitutional.
