action and provide some sort of relief for the americans that have student loan debt. we are looking at boards, expecting him to cancel up to $10,000 of student loan debt for a certain group of people. those who make under $125,000 a year. the repayment positive is also expected to be asked ended again because the current deadline is expected to have read -- expire in one week. a group advocating for student debt cancellation says, millions of americans owe trillions of dollars in student loans. it is one of the highest debts in the country, next to the mortgage payments. >> i think every little bit counts. i think a lot of people have much more than that, but it is a good start. for a lot of people, it will make a big difference. >> i should have done what everybody else did and not paid.

life is about sacrifices. reporter: this move on the president has a large political implication with it. if both parties urged him to take different courses of actions with student loans. top democrats like elizabeth warren and chuck schumer have pushed him to cancel as much as $50,000 in student loans, saying $10,000 is not enough to provide adequate. -- adequate relief. republicans believe that repayment should have started long ago. reggie: a newly released letter is peeling back the curtain on other classified documents that the former didn't had in his possession. reporter: this starts in january, when former president trump turned over about 700 pages of classified documents to

from president biden later today. some of the debt for some of the americans, there will be expected parameters on this when it is announced they are on. some of those include an income threshold with student loan debt. the $10,000 cancellation plan coming from president biden is what is most likely what will happen. it will only apply to people making under $125,000 a year. this move may have large political implications for the president. strong democrats like elizabeth warren and chuck schumer have pushed him to cancel as much as $50,000 in student loan debt. groups like the naacp agree and say $10,000 is not enough to provide adequate relief. republicans believe that student loan repayments should have started a long time ago. experts day this will bring some relief, but there is the possibility of a legal challenge. >> the president does have the power to adjust the amount of
