fentanyl, a brightly colored version of the synthetic opioid that targets teenagers and young adults. i team reporter stephanie sierra spoke with the bay area based nonprofit tracking the impact of this deadly trend. five minutes and 15 seconds. this tiny test strip can save your life, then check founders alison heller. indian schultz have partnered with more than 40 businesses across the bay area to distribute these test kits in places like bars, nightclubs, restaurants, book clubs, tattoo parlors and thrift shops. these venues have seen a 46% increase in demand over the past four months, and now they're seeing why rainbow fentanyl it's the latest version of fentanyl or fendt coming in. form of brightly colored pressed pills or powder that looks like sidewalk chalk. this photo is from a recent bust in oregon, investigators say dealers are using the attractive colors to target young teens. in some cases, pressing the drug into food like fruit loops, and the scary part is local bay area.

for decades, i've worked at the intersection of domestic violence and homelessness. so when prop 27 promised solutions to homelessness, i took a good, hard look. it's not a solution. 90% of the money goes to the out-of-state corporations who wrote it. very little is left for the homeless. don't let corporations exploit homelessness to pad their profits. vote no on 27.
