starting tomorrow morning. we want you to be prepared abc 7 weather anchor spencer christian is here with a look at hot we can expect to get spencer. okay, karina certainly going to get hotter than it was today, but let's take a look back at some of today's highs first. they got up to 103 at vacaville today one or two at gilroy many other inland locations in the upper 90s. we had some 80s around the bay shoreline now as karina mentioned we have an excessive heat warning in effect from 11 am tomorrow to 8pm tuesday for virtually all of the bay area except those communities right around the bayshore line and on the coast and then in fact that warning will be an effect until 8pm wednesday for solano county. so how hot will it be tomorrow up to about 108 in fairfield? 104 105 at antioch concord livermore 102, cloverdale 100 at santa rosa 103, morgan hill and as a look at the maximum temperature trend on monday look at this up to 15 possible at fairfield 11 at concord. 110 danville same picture on tuesday, maybe even a hotter in some spots. i'll be back a little bit later

to show you when this oppressive heat wave will end karina. all right. sir, thank you pressure on the california energy grid has prompted a flex alert to be extended into sunday a fifth consecutive day the state independent system. operator says the most challenging hours are between four and nine o'clock in the evening. calaiso says californians have been responding and conserving electricity these last few days and if we don't cut our power use it could trigger rolling outages. every megawatt saved is a megawatt we can use to keep the grid stable. so no reduction in your electricity uses too small. preliminary data shows that conservation during flex alert hours has helped keep the grids stable so far this week. morrow's flex alert is in effect from 4 to 9 pm if you have ac set your thermostat to 78 degrees or higher if your health allows don't charge your electric car during those hours or use major appliances like your dishwasher washer and dryer

this morning in the south bay one man died in a crash involving several vehicles, san jose police. say a man driving a toyota hits several cars parked on hillier avenue near ridge brook way when he got out of his car. he was hit by a truck the man driving the truck was arrested for dui and booked into the santa clara county main jail. this is the 24th pedestrian fatality of the year in san jose. new details oakland police are asking people to help them identify the owner of this car in connection with a shooting that claimed three lives last weekend. the car was last seen leaving a west oakland neighborhood on martin luther king jr. way near 29th street police say that's where they found two men shot a number of times a man on a bicycle was hitting killed by one of the shooting victims as he tried to drive from the scene. a focus now on health and an issue that's part of building a better bay area new and updated covid-19 booster shots could roll to california residents in a few days health officials

area moving forward finding solutions. this is abc 7 news. terror in the skies over mississippi today an airport worker steals a small plane and threatens to crash it into a local big box store. here's abc news reporter christine sloan with the ending officials. say was the best case scenario. early saturday morning tupelo police began warning people in the area that a pilot was flying over the city threatening to intentionally crash corey wayne patterson.

stole a beechcraft king air c90 twin engine aircraft and took off from the tupelo airport today officers say shortly after taking off the suspect dialed 911 and said he was going to intentionally crash into the local walmart. instigators say 29 year old corey wayne patterson was an employee of tupelo aviation working for the company for 10 years as alignment fueling aircraft after the initial threat. he did not want to hurt himself or anyone else and i believe that we had what you would think would be the best case scenario tracking data from flight. radar24.com shows the planes erratic route over northern, mississippi as the pilot zigzag for several hours the aircraft began running out of fuel around 9:30 am. that's when the suspect posted what investigators are calling a
