the continuing heatwave. i saw the temperature in the car said 110. i'm hoping this is almost over. >> it is. those types of temperatures are over. still some left tomorrow in the eastern parts of contra costa and alameda county. may be down around gilroy and morgan hill buffer everybody else that heatwave ends at about 8:00 tonight. one more flex alert and i think all of that false by the wayside as we head through the weekend. dynamic changes coming this weekend. last day to day suffering record-breaking heat. hot temperatures last night, sharply cooler this weekend, almost 30 degrees cooler compared to today. it will be a lot more cloud cover which will help with the cooling. the marine layer will also come through. more humidity though.

national weather service out of sacramento put a time lapse and i posted it, a pyro cumulous cloud developing out of the mosquito fire. we are obviously going to have to start turning our attention back to those kinds of items because they are still out there. as far as us, no cloud cover. we have temperatures in the 60's at the coast while the rest of us are in the 80's, 90's and 100s. today was one of our hottest dates moving forward. there is a little bit of a breeze but it is mainly going to be along the coast as we head through the evening hours. temperatures will be very stuffy through about 9:00. two nights temperatures mid 50's to upper 70's. some areas santa rosa, livermore and san jose are record low temperatures again tonight for the fourth and final night.
