a mother was killed in the street in front of other people. ryan curry has the details. ryan: a gruesome incident. some of these details are disturbing. a san carlos woman died after she was beheaded. happened on thursday, on magnolia avenue not far from el camino. the sheriff's office describing the weapon as a stabbing instrument, one that was not found as of thursday evening. the woman and a suspect were in an ongoing relationship, however, sources tell us that the victim had a restraining order against the suspect since april. the suspect walked over to the deputies on the scene and was arrested. witnesses told us that they could not believe it. >> this is unbelievable it happened in this area. he walked right by me.

i was right there and i am like, oh, he walked right by me. reporter: did he say anything? >> not all, he was upset. ryan: child protective services took custody of a seven-year-old and one year old from inside of the home. one person says he was familiar with the couple having interacted with them on a number of occasions. we asked about history of abuse and the sheriff's office only confirming the suspect was known to law enforcement. julian: so disturbing, thank you for the details. today, the alameda county sheriff's deputy accused in a double murder will face a judge. debbie williams junior shot a man and his wife to death. the victims were shot execution style. williams took off and was the subject of a surge but he was eventually taken into custody when he surrendered.

health is a key component of building a better bay area and today updated covid boosters are available from health officials. let's go to concord for the details. reporter: good morning. in three hours, this contra costa county vaccine clinic will start offering the latest covid boosters to those who are 12 and up. the boosters are designed to target the hyper infectious strains of the variant that have caused cases to surge. it's cleared for anybody over 12, moderna for anybody over 18. the boosters target the highly contagious ba 4 and 5 subvariants, getting the final green light from the cdc and fda last week. but those who recently had a breakthrough covid infection are asked to delay the booster for three months. the rollout is happening now,

driver gets out of his car and fires at another vehicle. we have more on what happened. reporter: this is dashcam video recorded in east oakland when a driver approaches an intersection. he has a green light, but a man driving this white pickup truck goes into the intersection, there is honking, then this. the driver opens fire on the vehicle, leaving a bullet hole in the side of it. >> i thought, this is the wild west. reporter: we have hidden the identity of the man who recorded the video, blurring the face of this man pending an investigation. >> it looks like his fist, but then i saw something that was underneath his fist, and i thought, it has to be a hammer. reporter: it is no hammer, but what appears to be a handgun

with an extended magazine clip. no one was hurt, but when the man who recorded the video tried to file a police report, it was unsuccessful. >> they have a way of doing things i am not accustomed to. and i figured they would want the information. he could hurt somebody. reporter: we reached out to oakland police, saying there is an incomplete report on the incident, but they are looking into the matter. the man who spoke said it was a violent situation, he could have been killed and he is upset over the response. >> you have got to be kidding me. i'm trying to do my civic duty and let them know. the process seems absurd. reporter: a -- camera was used here and the victim is recommending cameras to others out there. he says he may not be honking as much going forward, even if it is due to a safety concern. kumasi: the state is

investigating its first potential death from monkeypox. a christen was diagnosed with the virus and recently died. this is one of two deaths in the whole country. at the doctors say edits -- doctors say they are not sure that the person died from monkeypox, but they had the virus when they died. death from the virus is rare. julian: gunshots fired in an uvalde park less than two miles away from robb elementary school. two juveniles were taken to the hospital. police took for suspects into custody and they believe that the shooting was gang-related. one of the school shooting survivors was at that park at the time when the shots were fired. kumasi: here is a live look at buckingham palace, where well-wishers are there to pay tribute to queen elizabeth ii, great britain's longest reigning
