unpleasant day in southern california, in all of california, i guess, it's been one of the weirdest weeks of weather we've had here. this is the closest a tropical storm has come to l.a. since 1997. we could get a year's worth of rain from this one storm. they're calling it tropical storm kay. which might be the least intimidating name for a storm. doesn't every kiss begin with kay? and while you'd think that a ton of rain would be good, for us, in a drought, it's actually not. getting a year's worth of rain all at once is like if you tried to eat a year's worth of food from one buffet. and i have tried that.
