6:49 am
bay some moderate rain here. look at just west of saratoga and as we look at a redwood city palo alto some light returns woodside 280 and over into the east bay from arundel walnut creek 680, san ramon valley there out through dublin some very light rain notice. there's a big hole over marin county there and then the radar filling in from guerneville west of santa rosa heelsberg and along highway 1 there, but as we getting closer to richmond and san rafael very light returns here san francisco quiet right now, but we will be looking at the rainfall to continue not only on and off today but in through your monday and even into tuesday 60s right now gusty southerly winds they have been very gusty from the south bay to the peninsula and that's where we've had the concentration of the light to moderate rain so far up elevations over 25 and 30 mile an hour wind. so we have our wind advisory right on through four clock tomorrow morning. and with those south winds were much much warmer 18 to 25
6:50 am
degrees warmer, south winds will continue to get stronger today as we go through the morning hours the front will push through but we're still looking at 40 to 50 mile an hour coastal winds and that's why we have that wind advisory and over the rest of the bay area 25 to 35 mile an hour winds. so the will continue to watch the front march to the east and we look through the east bay valleys here in the south bay. it was some heavier downpours, but as we get to about 9 10 11 the clock, we'll see things get a little bit quieter before the afternoon sun and looking at chance of more heavy downpours just randomly from the north bay and perhaps over into the east bay. this is 3:30. you can see a few peaks the sun santa clara but scattered showers around stopping this at 8:30 and you'll notice we're still around that periphery of that low spinning offshore and it continue to bring up that unstable air you add in some sunshine and we can get some thunderstorms again as we get into your monday afternoon. so as we look at the totals
6:51 am
through today and tomorrow afternoon notice higher amounts from the santa cruz mountains even over in the east bay doing better than parts of marin county you have to get up to sonoma here where we see rainfall amounts over an inch and a half. so very random as how much we get in the next couple of days, but no matter how you slice it. we do need the rain and they'll be a couple of opportunities plenty today into your monday and tuesday upper 60s with those gusty south winds showers downpours chance of a thunderstorm. we'll see about 70 at levi's stadium the accuweather seven-day forecast. it's gonna stay on and off soggy and we'll warm up autumn arrives thursday, but boy temperatures near 90 inland through the end of the week. all right. thank you so much. lisa now a piece of san francisco history is at risk of fading away boy scout troop 3 has operated in chinatown for more than 100 years with standing all of the ups and downs that have come with it, but they face a new challenges abc 7 news reporter. tim johns.

about 13 members chang says he believes cost as well as the neighborhood being home to many hard-working immigrant families plays a role. i see that and we're a lot different than a lot of other. troops they have a little more recent out more resource a lot more parents and able to to be involved in the program, but despite their reduction in size the sense of camaraderie and the lessons the scouts learn remain timeless lucian. lin has been a member of the troop for the past several years. he says he's made some of his closest friends in troop 3 and enjoys passing his knowledge down to the next generation. i try my best to try and like be the leader to them but also to like be the friend be as like a friend to them saying says following the pandemic the troop is stepping up its recruitment efforts. hoping to remain a part of san francisco's culture for another 108 years the things that we offer here is hands on learning experience building their confidence.
