stolen catalytic converters. he signed two bills yesterday that will require recyclers to keep specific records and will only allow used catalytic converters to be sold by authorized parties. catalytic converter theft is increased 10 times since 2018. he says one root cause is the brokers or middlemen who pay top dollar for stolen parts. these bills make it illegal to buy this from anyone other than licensed dealers. in a video released on twitter yesterday, newsom said he hopes these will keep californians into their cars safer. >> you take away the market for stolen goods and you can cut down on stealing. it is not much more complicated than that. just another example of how we are weaning into reduce crime in the state and keep californians safe.

many of these fast food workers are telling travelers heading to the airport today they should plan on bringing their own food. their strike includes a thousand workers at restaurants, bars, coffee shops and lunches at sfo. the majority of his workers make 17.5 -- $70 and five cents an hour. -- $70.05 an hour. travelers should bring their own food as workers are on strike at every food outlet in the airport. this comes after nine months of negotiations between the human -- union and airport management and food workers voted on this. marriott hotel workers demanded better pay and care in 2018 and while it is unclear how long this could last, they are
