days after six people were shot at oakland's rudsdale high school abc 7 news reporter cornell bernard. spoke with a neighbor who is still processing the aftermath that's kind of the worst part of it, you know celebration and then people die this neighbor who didn't want to go on camera lives. only steps from the bright blue house on apgar street in oakland where there was a party saturday night attended by a group of teens about three hours. and pulled up with a handful of kid a few hours later. i was in my living room i heard about like 10 or 12 rapid fire shots and then a bunch of kids screaming. she says a car then made it fast getaway and many of the teens ran down the street some of the wounded leaving a trail of blood crime scene cleaners spent hours from moving blood from the sidewalk stretching nearly a block whatever and whoever it

was definitely just unloaded into that house oakland police say two teens were killed two others were injured, but they are expected to survive a suspect or suspects are still at large, but he's investigation right now into the homicide scene, and we're just we're just looking at very into infant stages of the homicides. they're berkeley unified school district confirming the tragic news that both victims of saturday's gun violence where students at berkeley high school in a statement official said because these were two of our own we are all feeling this pain collectively and must hold each other. specialty close and care for one another the district sending condolences to the families. it says grief counselors will be available to students and staff on monday. that's terrible. yeah, that's that's very heartbreaking. meantime. neighbors are still processing the aftermath of violence on their street. i can imagine what those kids are gonna be experiencing after this the the trauma is going to be quite difficult to process.

i'm sure in oakland cornell bernard abc 7 news a community group is organizing a vigil for those students tomorrow. it's set to start at 7pm at at longfellow middle school in berkeley. in oakland police officer is recovering tonight after being hit by a car this morning near 52nd avenue and wentworth avenue. least say officers approached a vehicle that had stopped in the middle of the road. they say the driver was unconscious and when officers woke up that driver he sped away hitting one officer during the getaway. that officer was taken to the hospital. oakland skyline high school forfeited friday night's football gamewing a fight between teammates windsor high school's head coach told the rosa press democrat that it was because of a fight on the skyline high campus this week that sent one player to the hospital. a spokesperson for oakland schools would only confirm there was a conflict on campus. there is a possible break in the case of alexis gabe. she is the 24 year old oakley

woman who police say was murdered by her boyfriend, but her body hasn't been found. the gabe family yesterday went to the location where the bones were found and they say a thousand dollar reward has enlisted over 700 volunteers to help in the search. they are actively searching right now. and that's why we are always getting a tip every time they see something they message us. alexis gabe went missing on january 26th after visiting her ex-boyfriend marshall jones at his home in antioch. police say alexis was killed by jones. he was killed by officers near seattle while attempting to serve him an arrest warrant in june a map allegedly created by jones has led police and volunteers to pioneer. moving on now a vandal to faced a catholic parish office in palo alto. it all happened at the saint thomas aquinas pastoral center on middlefield road. someone used pink spray paint to vandalize the garden area the
