in the absence of a marine layer, temperatures are a lot cooler this morning compared to this time yesterday. 10 degrees cooler in santa rosa. a bit of a chill and some of the cities this morning. generally in the mid to upper 50's right now. here is a live look outside. this is the east bay hills camera. here is how the day shapes up. at least to a nice afternoon. by lunchtime, 60's and 70's, a bit of a breeze. low 80's and the warmest spot and we will take a closer look at these hides coming up in just a few minutes. >> unfortunately we are starting monday morning with not one, but two separate alerts. the first is on the bay bridge. if there is a silver lining, it

is in the eastbound reverse commute direction. only the middle lane of the five lanes getting by, eastbound on the bay bridge on the eastern portion of the span. and another alert with a flipped over big rig, this what is eastbound also in the richmond area. you are looking at the westbound headlights and you can see on the maps that eastbound 80 looks like it might have been cleared out because the big break was over to the right-hand side. right now, eastbound not showing much slowing. >> a vigil held tonight to remember two teenage brothers shot and killed in oakland over the weekend. >> both died saturday. two others were hurt. they were at a rented home in

north oakland. police say several dozen teenagers were at the home for a birthday party when someone came in and started shooting. nobody has been arrested. a cousin of the victims as they were role models. >> oh, they idolized them. they would always be like, where are you going, take me with you, i want to go with you. >> they were students at berkeley high school. there will be counselors on hand to talk with any students. the vigil is at 7:00 p.m.. >> time, school is still closed today at the sight of a mass shooting in oakland last week. there are three schools on the campus including the one with the shooting took place. six people were wounded in the shooting including two students. a senior spoke with abc 7 about

the reaction inside the school as shots rang out. >> they didn't quite sound like gunshots. at first i was like, they are working on the pipes. then i thought about it and was like, no, definitely gunshots. >> classes are canceled as police continue the investigation. on saturday, students were allowed back on campus for the first time to gather their belongings. >> it is a scary feeling that something is not right and i don't know what that feeling is. >> police have said the shooting appears to have been a targeted attack but they don't think any of the people shot for the intended targets. no arrests have been made in the case.

and a sobering reminder that thousands of people have fallen to gun violence. victim, there are ways to help. >> this morning, we are beginning to see the devastation left behind after hurricane ian. at least 85 people in florida and north carolina killed in the storm. most of the victims were in florida where rcucory operationl underway right now. >> as the death toll from hurricane ian rises, new images emerged showing the storm's destructive power. helicopters from the coast guard and national guard continue to conduct rescue missions. more than 2300 people rescued from the air so far, with more saved by boat from barrier islands cut off from the mainland by the storm. >> we watch the boats, houses, everything go flying by.

wednesday to survey the damage exactly a week after the storm first made landfall. >> restaurant workers approved a deal for a five dollars per hour raise and health care last week. 1000 restaurant workers shut down most of the airport beverage outlets during a strike. workers approved the deal with close to unanimous consent. most hourly wages will increased a little more than $17 per hour to $22. that is a race of almost 30%. sfo said in part "this new contract provides competitive pay and benefits allowing food workers to continue to live with the world-class experience for travelers love. drew: a clear view over the city this morning. the marine layer about 20 miles

70's and then calling for the 60's. the three day forecast of the next couple of days, slightly warmer tomorrow and mild to warm on wednesday. let's check in with those traffic alerts this morning. >> better news at the bay bridge, chp just announced all lanes cleared in the eastbound direction. that was a major injury accident in eastbound direction. they have cleared all of that out and a gentle man has been taken to the hospital. looks like he is going to survive those injuries. much better news headed eastbound on the bay bridge. a secondary alerts, this one in richmond, eastbound 80. that one right near solano avenue, slowly tracking a bit as you can see. the good news, it is in the reverse commute direction, so eastbound richmond, expect some slowing. >> still to come, we do have a

>> the indonesian government dislodging investigation into the deadly soccer stadium stampede over the weekend. 125 people died after a soccer match in asia turned violent. videos put social media show fans storming the field, clashing with riot police. police fired tear gas into the crowd, creating a frenzy. at least five police cars were toppled and set on fire. many were trampled and suffocated. it is being called one of the deadliest sports events in the world. the national archives still hasn't recovered all of the presidential paper that should have been turned over at the end of the trump administration. the acting archivist sent a letter to congress to alert them to the issue. the letter was a response to a

might help them find a potential serial killer. five men have been killed in the last three months. christine sloan has the latest on the search. >> this morning, california city on edge at the urgent search continues for a possible serial killer or killers. >> at this time, we don't know if it is a person, two or three. we just don't know. >> five men shot dead in stockton over the past three months starting in july. police have released a surveillance video -- photo of a person of interest. the killings and making the definition of a serial killer. a 54-year-old was one of the victims, a musician who sang about the violence on the streets of stockton. this is a recent video. his heartbroken brother says he was homeless but was trying to get his life back together. >> it is hard to process that this has happened. me and my brother have been like

twins since we were kids. we were pretty close. dark out the victims are mostly hispanic men between the ages of 21-54. the murders, in different locations, but taking place in dark areas late at night or early morning. and the victims were all ambushed, but investigators say the killings were not game-related robberies. 35-year-old paul alexander believed to be the first person killed in a statement, his family says he was a good boy who grew into a good man with a big heart, adding he was always there for you if you needed him. his mother telling abc news she is sharing his photo and hopes that it will solve the cases. authorities are offering an $5,000 will work for information that will lead them to the killer or killers. meantime, police are warning people in stockton to be extra vigilant and to not walk alone.

gloria: the teenagers killed were only 15 and 17 and today there will be grief counselors for students and staff at the school they went to, berkeley high school. meanwhile, police are still looking for the shooters. a family member tells us the 17-year-old and his 15-year-old brother were shot and killed at a party on saturday night. police say that two others were injured and are expected to survive. a neighbor who did not want to go on camera lives only steps from the house where the party took place on saturday night. here is what she saw. >> about three hours before everything happen, an suv pulled up with a handful of kids, and they got out. they were probably 16 or 17 years old. a few hours later i heard 10 or 12 rapidfire shots and then a bunch of kids screaming. >> the school district saying in a statement because these were

two of our own, we are feeling this pain collectively and must hold each other especially close and care for one another. today, a community group is organizing a vigil for the students at 7:00 p.m. at one fellow school in berkeley. and you can hear from a family member of the teenagers and why she says they were at the wrong place at the wrong time. we will have the latest coming up. >> thank you. details now in a chilling home invasion that we first told you about on friday. police are going to increase patrols in the neighborhood where a 70-year-old asian american woman as she was violently r yocan s onein this surveillanceo acting as a utility worker with a hard hat and laptop. two other suspects entered the home, allegedly assaulting her and her dog. officers say they are aware of

the suspect and the vehicle used in the crime. they say there have been cases where thieves have dressed like utility workers in the past. >> a possible break in the case of alexis gave. her -- gabe. her family says they think they may have found her remains. they were searching an area of the sierra nevada foothills when they discovered bones. it is the same area where a man allegedly made by her ex-boyfriend said her body was located. the family is now offering a $100,000 reward and have enlisted more than 700 volunteers to help. >> they are actively searching right now and that is why we are always saying every time they see something, the message us. >> she went missing in january after visiting her ex-boyfriend. police believe he killed her.

in june, officers in seattle killed jones while trying to arrest him. it could take several months for dna testing to confirm if the remains belonged to her. >> we are seeing the highest weekly gas price increases of any state in the country. overnight, the average jumped to $6.38 per gallon. the national average is $3.80. the most expensive prices here in the area are in san rafael, where they are now at six dollars 6610 theory governor newsom on friday called for a windfall tax on oil companies that go directly back to california taxpayers. he also directed an early transition to gasoline to increase oil supplies by 5%-10% and then drop gas prices. >> fleet week gets underway in san francisco as a hugely popular event that is a lot of fun, but also a big economic boost for the city which we could really use right now. lena howland is live with what we can expect this week. lena: good morning.

the san francisco chamber of commerce as they were expecting up to one million people to visit the city this week. people just wanting a glimpse of these naval ships and fighter jets. kind of like the princeton uc set up behind us. that just came in yesterday at of san diego, something a lot of people are going to want to take a good look at. one of several ships rolling into town this week. this is when visitors didn't get a glimpse of the day to of sailors serving in the navy and coast guard across two different piers. local businesses are banking on this rate much needed bump in foot traffic. some have said they are expecting things to pick up midweek. by then, all naval ships will be docked. >> we are going to have to make a whole bunch more hummus and probably i'm going to have to be

russian colors and raise their own flag. the town is a vital transportation hub for military supply lines and had been annexed by russia just a few months ago. russia is also said to be going door to door looking for men who can be drafted to fight in the art. experts say this shows just how ugly the war has turned in ukraine's favor and now has vladimir putin making nuclear threats. >> he's already lost a really critical element in that critical city that would have been a very key supply hub, had they been able to go farther and that is just going to continue. he is going to continue to lose on the battlefield. >> ukraine is building on huge gains that it made last month, fighting to stop pressure from killing civilians. >> governor newsom signed a bill decriminalizing jaywalking. this would allow pedestrians to cross the street away from crosswalks without citation, so long as it is safe to do so. it was introduced, arguing that
