>> now from abc 7, live breaking news. >> tonight our worst fears have been confirms. we found the four people from the kidnapping and they are in fact, deceased. >> the breaking news truly terrible discovery. for family members including an eight-month-old girl found dead after being taken against their will. the main suspect is now talking. you for joining us, i'm dan ashley. >> the merced county sheriffs's office gave an update hours ago after spending the past two days trying to locate the family. >> tim johns is in the newsroom with the latest on the tragic discovery. >> during that news conference the sheriffs office said they had gotten a call around 5:30

this evening about bodies discovered near does palos. the investigation is far from over. the bodies were found in an orchard in a rural part of the county. the family members, a husband, his wife, their eight-month-old child and an uncle were kidnapped from a business monday. >> there are no words to describe the anger i feel and the senselessness of this incident. i said earlier, there is a special place for the sky. >> they shared surveillance video, taken just outside the newly opened trucking company and shows two men's with their hands zipped tight behind their backs. >> it is something nobody is prepared to deal with. we are hoping and praying every moment. >> relatives of the family spoke to the community. >> we are devastated, shocked, we are dying every moment. >> a suspect was taken into

custody tuesday but was under medical sedation for a period of time after trying to take his own life. the merced county sheriff said he was awake and talking with authorities. the sheriff stressing this is still an active investigation. >> what we are dealing with tonight is bad and we will be out here all night having to deal with it. >> a motive for the kidnapping has not been determined but authorities believe it to be financial and nature. -- thank you. now to developments tonight in the search for a possible serial killer. they are now starting to zero in on a similar pattern. >> someone who works at night or early in the morning and the victims ambushed. >> neighbors brought their fears straight to police. >> dozens of people attended this meeting, one woman said she got home late the other night and instantly thought of the murder cases that have happened late at night and early morning.

they received 100 tips in this case. abc7news. >> and the east bay, students at oaklands bay tech charter school returned to class today. it has been one week since six people were injured in the shooting at neighboring high school located on the same king estates campus. the principal says the teachers and staff are addressing safety concerns directly with parents and students. there is added security on the campus. the high school remains closed and no arrests have been made in the shooting. >> new developments in alameda county, 12 of 47 deputies found unsuitable to serve returned to work today after retaking the psychological test they previously failed. they gathered outside the sheriff's office managing none of the deputies be rehired. the 47 deputies were stripped of weapons and badges last month. they received an --

the fog is heavy along the coast and parts of san francisco tonight. it is sitting near the coast and really going to be limited in its coverage. inland valleys will not see the fog. temperatures anywhere from 50's-60's. it was a warmer day. inland highs were in the 80's and 90's. 92 livermore. 60's along the coast. these are kind of the summertime temperature range even though it is fall. we had a wide range of temperatures. what you would expect to see perhaps in june, not so much october. there will be fog tomorrow morning. by the time the blue angels take to the skies there will be higher clouds but it should be fine for practice rounds. it is going to be sunny for the air show after morning fog on saturday. sunday it will get cooler and cloudier. temperatures in the upper 60's. here is a look at the forecast headlines, a mix of fog and high
