new york where the state attorney general, letitia james, held a live press conference to bring the hammer down on america's favorite crime family. the state of new york has filed a lawsuit against donald trump, ivanka trump, don jr., and eric, for knowingly participating in what she described as a "staggering" amount of fraud. >> the complaint demonstrates that donald trump falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to unjustly enrich himself and to cheat the system, thereby cheating all of us. >> jimmy: i don't know, that doesn't sound like the donald trump i know. [ laughter ] one of the crazier allegations is that trump, when dealing with his banks, valued mar-a-lago, his bordello/mausoleum in florida -- [ laughter ] at $739 million, when the actual value is around $75 million. and that his apartment is 30,000 square feet where it's 11,000 square feet. which is the same strategy he's

used for years with his penis. [ laughter ] this lawsuit outlines 200 false and misleading valuations of trump's assets. which, of course. fraud is who he is. charging donald trump with fraud is like charging lizzo with juice! [ laughter ] it's his essence. if the suit is successful, trump, eric, ivanka, and don jr. could be banned from operating a business in the state of new york ever again. which means tiffany is laughing her ass off right now. [ laughter ] the state is seeking at least $250 million from trump. and that's not even the worst of it. the real trouble is they say they have evidence that he broke federal criminal laws and they have referred those cases to the southern district of new york and the irs. surprisingly, trump was very thoughtful in his response. he posted on his discount twitter. "attorney general letitia 'peekaboo' james." no idea. i looked all over the internet, there is no explanation for why he's calling her "peekaboo." maybe he meant "pikachu?" i don't know. [ laughter ] "peekaboo james is a total crime fighting disaster in new york,

is spending all of her time fighting for very powerful and well-represented banks and insurance companies who were fully paid, made a lot of money, and never had a complaint about me, instead of fighting murder and violent crime, which is killing new york state. she is a failed a.g. whose lack of talent in the fight against crime is causing record numbers of people and companies to flee new york. bye, bye!" [ laughter ] peekaboo and "bye bye." oh, you know what, he must be spending time with his granddaughter before he goes to jail. [ laughter ] how sweet. [ cheers and applause ] i mentioned last night trump is also upset with governor ron desantis of florida, that's the rumor anyway, because he thinks ronny stole his idea when he shanghaied those venezuelan families to martha's vineyard. turns out trump did have a similar idea. his chief of staff at the department of homeland security says trump ordered them to round up immigrants, weed out the "murderers and rapists" as he called them, and send them to democrat-run cities. that was his plan. he wanted to send rapists to

detroit and seattle and chicago and boston and of course, san francisco and l.a. this is what our president wanted to do. and they complain that joe biden is divisive. there seems to be no bottom to this barrel. every time you think you've heard the craziest, angriest, most horrible thing possible, something worse comes out. and by the way, if trump wants to send a rapist somewhere, he could just jump on a bus himself. [ laughter ] but yes, great. great city. good architecture, good culture. >> jimmy: you had the deep dish pizza? >> yeah, that crust is a bit too filled for me as a brit boy. but it was a different experience. really, really good. ood, it's - >> when it's good, it's good. apparently chicago is the place for the good pizza, apparently. >> jimmy: chicago is the place for the great deep dish pizza. that's a big battle that goes on here in the united states. which pizza's better? new york pizza -- >> yeah, new york, there was a bit of -- because i have a pizza tasting video on my social

[ laughter ] >> jimmy: you take them to the house? >> yeah. i think it's important when you go to another country that's new to you, it's important to get homegrown citizens that are there that can give you that feeling of home since you're from another -- >> that's really nice. >> my mom will do some good cooking, good nigerian food. and my dad will speak you into excruciating pain. handles the guests in the house, mom is the one that throws down the food. >> jimmy: will you bring your costars to your parents' house for dinner? >> oh, yeah, oscar's been over. >> jimmy: oscar isaac. >> yeah. a few people have been over. my parents are so involved in my life. you're going to see them around somewhere. >> jimmy: yeah. your parents, are they on the set when you're shooting? >> oh, yeah, sometimes they come on set. sometimes they stay out of it. my dad, hit or miss with him. it depends what i'm filming. >> jimmy: oh, really? >> my dad recently said, you know, johnny, all these artistic movies that you are doing, i'm not quite interested in them. my dad just wants me to jump off of buildings. and he actually asked me why my career's not like bruce willis. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: really? >> connect with the audience, dad. he's like, no, no, jump off the building, then you're a star. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: wow, only in show business does a parent encourage you to jump off a building. >> i know. once they see the action, you know, you watch -- the blocking was kind of like, first film, i see you doing a bit of action. he was like, yeah, oh yeah, he's

going to be my action star son. that's why i'm doing all these emotional, in-depth, character arc movies, and he's all, ugghh! character, artist! >> jimmy: your dad likes those kind of movies? >> oh, yeah. >> jimmy: what do you remember your dad watching and loving growing up? >> oh," die hard" is what he enjoys. >> jimmy: bruce willis is his guy? >> that's his guy. so bruce willis is who my dad compares my career to. [ laughter ] like, every single point, it's bruce willis. >> jimmy: he must be impressed that indiana jones is your friend? >> he's impressed by that. but did he hold on to the helicopter? did he protect the building, the tower block, didn't christmas? no, he didn't, did he? [ laughter ] >> jimmy: i'll tell you why, he was flying the helicopter, that's why. >> yeah, but my dad -- >> jimmy: he made a guy get off the plane. >> he did. another special thing is i think bruce willis started to lose his hair the same time my dad did. [ laughter ] so there's an emotional -- like an emotional connection there. >> jimmy: that's interesting.

they're brothers in bald. in a way. >> exactly. exactly. >> jimmy: wow. that's pretty crazy. do you stay with your parents when you're -- do you stay in your room at home? >> oh, no, no. >> jimmy: no, no? >> no, no. jimmy, man, as soon as the check cleared, got them a house. got them squared away before i got my own house. >> jimmy: you did? >> yeah, yeah, definitely. >> jimmy: that's funny. [ applause ] smart, too. >> yeah, yeah. >> jimmy: this is a very -- i know a very busy time for you. you have two movies in theaters right now. >> yeah, two movies. "breaking out" on digital. then "the woman king" with viola davis. [ cheers and applause ] >> jimmy: right, we're going to see a little of that in a minute. "breaking out"? >> "breaking out" on all digital platforms to rent for an exclusive price. >> jimmy: what is the idea of that film? >> yeah, "breaking" is about a vet called brian brown eastly who comes home to no support. trying to get integrated back into society. and he's owed money from the va, the veterans affairs, after suffering from ptsd, not being able to take care of his daughter. he goes into a wells fargo bank

and holds some bank tellers hostage in order to get what he's owed and to be heard. it's a very amazing movie. >> jimmy: it's interesting. in 1983, i think, there was a movie called "breakin'." and that's not what it was about. it was about break dancing. >> yeah, yeah, i heard about that. >> jimmy: popping and locking. >> i don't make the titles of these movies. >> jimmy: uh-huh? >> yeah, i heard that. someone said, it's not the popping and locking movie? [ laughter ] no, it's not. it's emotional, okay? >> jimmy: then there's "breakin' 2: electric boogaloo." one of the greatest titles all-time. >> i'm going to talk to the studio. this is getting worse and worse every time i hear the titles. >> jimmy: speaking of titles, your next movie -- you have another one in the hopper coming out on netflix with jamie foxx. what is the title? >> "they cloned tyrone." [ laughter ] you guys want to see it just from the title, right? >> jimmy: definitely. >> jamie foxx? [ cheers and applause ] yeah, "they cloned tyrone." >> jimmy: how long did you work with jamie on this? >> we were together for several

months. got shut down, came back, filming was on the schedule, we were together a long time. >> jimmy: jamie foxx, besides being a very, very talented person and a very, very nice person. >> oh, yeah. >> jimmy: is the most fun person to be around. because he inserts fun into spots where you just never imagined there would be fun. >> yeah, the charisma levels on this guy is ridiculous. i really love jamie. >> jimmy: he carries around a backpack with a speaker in it, right? >> wait, so he does carry it everywhere? >> jimmy: yes. >> he takes it everywhere? >> jimmy: i've seen it a couple of times. >> he's there with it on set. it comes in handy. while we're shooting, we shot in a specific area in atlanta. you know, it's sometimes hard to tell all the locals that you're going to be shooting a big movie in their neighborhood. sometimes you ruffle feathers. >> jimmy: right. >> so that the local community didn't relieve us of our equipment -- [ laughter ] jamie foxx had to get out there and literally be the charming guy he was. you saw everybody crowd around this gas station. jamie foxx is basically giving

them a free show. i can't lie, i was tempted to go around and collect $5 each. [ laughter ] this look like paid work, like he was performing. >> jimmy: jamie's singing? >> singing, dancing, dancing with members of the public. >> jimmy: pumping gas? >> he's doing everything. >> jimmy: washing windows? >> that's the only thing he didn't do, but he was close. he made them feel good. and brought some joy to our set. >> jimmy: i've got to tell you how that made me feel, when i was doing something with him. made me feel like, oh, i guess i should be more fun, i'm not fun at all. >> yeah, i did slightly look at him and go, bloody hell, there's levels to this stardom thing, isn't it? i'm not there. >> jimmy: yeah, me neither. >> yeah. >> jimmy: by the way, never -- >> i'm all right. my charisma level is different. >> jimmy: you've got a bruce willis thing going, so yeah. [ cheers and applause ] >> jimmy: that is john boyega and viola davis in "the woman king." did we just ruin the movie? i mean, i feel like maybe we just spoiled the movie. >> no, no, no. i think that's a good moment. >> jimmy: okay, all right, good. >> that's great. >> jimmy: i want to be clear, the movie studio gave us that clip, because people get mad at me. >> as long as they did it. >> jimmy: as long as they did it. >> that's a great clip, incredible. >> jimmy: viola davis, she's an incredible talent, person, all of that stuff. you could imagine that she would be like royalty in some time, right? >> i mean, she is royalty in our industry. >> jimmy: in our industry. [ cheers and applause ] does that -- at this point in your career, does that -- does working with her make you a little nervous? meeting her? >> oh, i mean, yeah. definitely my heart rate did increase every step closer to her in certain scenes.

certain scenes i have to have authority against viola davis. [ laughter ] which, you know, is scary. but i feel like when you've worked with harrison ford -- you know. >> jimmy: i see. >> you can get used to it. >> jimmy: did harrison do that thing where he scares you and you think he doesn't like you? >> yeah, for sure. >> jimmy: he did. how long did that go on? >> it went on for two weeks. [ laughter ] because i think i had answered him back and it was kind of like that trial by fire. "yeah, you're one of the good ones." [ laughter ] you know, it was that kind of feel. then i asked him to go to dinner. because he had been talking about eating chicken breast and salad because he was training for "star wars" at the time. so i go, let me take you to a local spot, let's just go for dinner after set. he agreed. while he agreed, his security guard definitely turned pale. [ laughter ] because you're taking the great harrison ford to an area and address the security guard hasn't been given. >> jimmy: i see. >> we had to sneak out. "meet me after, meet by the lobby."

we get in the car, go straight to where i'm taking you, have dinner, i'll get you back home in time. [ laughter ] like cinderella. >> jimmy: what did harrison ford eat? >> all uruguayan food. kind of like starchy, yam-based foods. he hadn't tried that before. we had to get a selection of everything. >> jimmy: i see. you got a buffet-type deal. >> yeah, yeah. i had to call the restaurant in advance, tell them indiana jones is rocking up. [ laughter ] they had the table prepared. a nigerian restaurant, they were like, "jesus is so good." [ laughter ] [ applause ] we went in, had a great, amazing meal. let me tell you, the way this guy slept in the car after eating all that food was historical. he was gone. >> jimmy: he fell right asleep in the car? >> as soon as we got in. >> jimmy: really? >> yeah, yeah. the food, you know when the food is heavy, you get that -- you want to just sleep for a bit after good food. he slept. >> jimmy: was he sleeping on you? were you both in the back seat?

>> both in the back seat, but we did have to do something. unfortunately, getting him into the car, he sat behind the driver. obviously drivers, they always say you can go to the passenger side to get more leg room. harrison ford was like, "yeah, kid, let's swap positions, i need more leg room." me and harrison at the back seat all over each other. >> jimmy: really? >> as he goes into the passenger seat. yeah, that's the og, of course. >> jimmy: he's full of yams. >> yams, beans, okra, plantain. he was just like, yeah, the way my stomach is bulging against these seat belts, we need to swap positions. >> jimmy: did your parents, being from africa, help you with the accent in this movie? >> definitely i drew some inspiration from that. because gene ell was, 18th century west africa, be in the area, be in the region. i thought, this is a great opportunity to add my dad's voice. >> jimmy: i see. >> yeah, yeah. just add his voice. he has an authority, but also the king is young, charm to him,

he's quite funny. >> jimmy: there was a lot of action in the movie but the king is mostly sitting on the throne. you're the king. >> there's a lot of psychological -- >> jimmy: action, yes. [ laughter ] >> action going on there. no, i felt so bad. i came to set, i saw lashana lynch with a ripped back, i saw thuso mbedu training. gina was kind of like, "there's your throne, and you must sit on it the whole entire day." [ laughter ] it was definitely different. i was parasailing -- >> jimmy: you had a lot more free time? >> i asked gina, should i get involved in the training? she said, no, you're our king. [ laughter ] what's the best way to reset your robe? >> jimmy: to go parasailing? >> a luxurious lifestyle, try to get used to that, you know, for the character. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: how was the parasailing? >> scary. very scary. i went with my older sister, who's my assistant, and she was working with me on "woman king." >> jimmy: your sister's your assistant? that's good stuff. >> on the day of, let's go parasailing. we went parasailing. i can't lie, i did act as if i wasn't scared in front of her because i assumed she'd be more

scared. when we get there, she's ready to go the first one up there. she was that tiny in five seconds. then i went up after her. and yeah, i felt very much intimidated right then. this south african dude was like, "do you want to go crazy?" i was like, nah, let's not do that. what's going crazy?" he says, "look up!" i see my sister doing spirals. [ laughter ] uh-uh, i got movies to do, insurance. >> jimmy: two places, never go . one of them when is you're parasailing. >> do not. >> jimmy: the other when is you're getting a haircut. >> yeah, no. oh, no, never do it. >> jimmy: it's great to see you. >> always good. >> jimmy: the movie, it's number one, it's called "the woman king."
