life and freedom. cornell: in san francisco, cornell bernard, abc7news. dion: someone reported a rape on stanford's campus. police say the assault happened on friday afternoon inside a university building. the victim said she was in an office when a man came in, grabbed her, dragged her into a basement and raped her. in august, a second woman reported she was grabbed by a man in a parking lot near wilbur hall, taken to a bathroom and raped. stanford says officers increase patrols in the area following that report. to the south they were san jose police are looking for a driver involved in a deadly hit and run crash near hollow zoo. investigators say a homeless man was killed while riding his bike. two cars hit that victim. one driver stopped while the other took off. police say the bicyclist is the 52nd person to die in a traffic crash in san jose this year.

that driver of the vehicle that did stop is cooperating with police. antioch police responded to reports of gunshots yesterday and found an 18-year-old man dead. it happened in belmont lane off buchanan road. the victim was found in a parking lot between condominiums. police are asking people in the area now for any information about the gunman. oakland pd is investigating to overnight sideshows. take a look, they happen this morning just before 2:45 in the area of 40 2nd avenue and hill boulevard. police were on scene when the sideshow started at 42nd and international. officers rushed over, but when they arrived, the crowd started throwing firecrackers, rocks and even bottles at them. police were eventually able to break up the crowd and stop the sideshow. the rare move cause disappointment today. crowds that gathered to see the blue angels in san francisco saw pretty much this, sky.

the blue angels perform friday and saturday in partly cloudy conditions. but today's fog and clouds force them to cancel today's air show altogether. their next scheduled performance in the bay area will be next october. w,fheleet wle ships docked at the port of san francisco and got a glimpse of the day-to-day lives of sailors serving in the navy and u.s. coast guard. schip tors continue tomorrow from 9 a.m. until noon. 100 48 fallen firefighters were honored today at a national fire fighters memorial ceremony in maryland. the bells tolled for each of the fallen. thousands came out to pay their respects. this year, a firefighter from san francisco was among the fallen. christopher died last year as he put out a blaze at sso. names of the fallen are inscribed on a blondes -- bronze plaque at the memorial. following a football player's

injury last week, a new concussion protocol is underway for the national football league. here is abc's philip with more. >> slams him to the ground. ays investn after miami dolphins cornerback tua tagovailoa appeared to sustain a head injury during a game against the buffalo bills. tua tagovailoa was seen as staggering after a hard hit but later returned to the game. just four days later, against the cincinnati bengals, he slammed his head into the turf. his fingers seizing in response known as venting, a sign of neurological trouble. the quarterback placed in concussion protocol and rushed to the hospital. prior to the announcement dolphins coach mike mcdaniel's saying he supports player safety. >> i'm not going to ever pretend to be the foremost expert on it. i think that as long as the protocols are derived with the proper spirit, if it helps the players and keep them safe, the miami dolphins will be all for it.

>> ahead of the green bay packers giants game, quarterback aaron rodgers says players need to bear responsibility for their own safety. >> players want to be out there, but you need to think about it long term. health. i think we all know the difference between getting rocks and getting concussions. there is definitely a difference. >> as a result of the investigation, the league and union agreed to change concussion protocol to include the term ataxia to the no go symptoms. which state defined as abnormality of balance, motor coronation or dysfunction of speech caused by neurological issues. under amended protocol, tua tagovailoa would've been diagnosed with a concussion on september 25 against the bills, making him ineligible to return to the game. league officials say it would have been extremely unlikely for him to play the following thursday. phil, abc news, new york. dion: coming up a san francisco building owner and with a lawsuit. what some high-rise tenants are asking for after their apartments flooded. >> i'm spencer christian.

flooded high-rise in san francisco are suing the building's owner. lawyers for a group of over 50 tenants of 33 thomas street say they have filed a lawsuit. they say the real estate company caused and mishandled to massive water leaks. abc7news reporter luz pena has been covering this for months. residents were forced out of their apartment buildings in june. the building will be uninhabitable until next year. san francisco painted in red and green today as people filled the streets or the 154th italian heritage parade. one of the longest-running parades on the west coast returned to the north beach neighborhood today. food, music, and lots of flag-waving were just some of the highlights. the annual tradition honors queen isabella and her royal court. the former columbus day parade is now a tradition to celebrate italian culture. that event started on jefferson and ended at towel street. walt disney world's first hbcu

it pushing southward and eastward. drizzle will expand overnight. there may be wet spots on the roadways in the morning for the morning commute. it will not be widespread, the drizzle. mainly offshore. mostly sunny, breezy, and mild days ahead with minor arming of the end of the week. overnight, this is the pattern we expect. clouds continuing to push rather deep into the inland areas. but the drizzle will be mainly offshore as i mentioned although some of it will move offshore. there could be isolated let spots in the morning hours. clouds will ring it quickly back to the coastline giving us a mainly sunny day. overnight low temperatures in the low 50's at the coast. mid to upper 50's just about everywhere else. highs tomorrow under increasingly sunny afternoon skies. 65 in san francisco and around the bay shoreline. mid to upper -- low to mid 70's. and then at mid 80's in the
