redwood city, a new record at 92. san francisco tie at 90. sfo barely breaking the old record at 86 degrees. england it was in the low to mid 90's. along the coast it was also warm. 92 in santa rosa. as we check out the 24 hour temperature change, it is warmer compared to 24 hours ago. 13 degrees warmer in san carlos. still going to be warm inland but mild along the coast inland at 7:00. tomorrow morning we start off with fog. tomorrow afternoon the warmth is back but it is not nearly as warm as what we experienced today. it is cooler coast and bay. i will be back to tell you about the possibility of maybe meeting -- may needing those umbrellas.

she would like everybody to come back to work five days a week but city workers except for police and fire and nurses that have to be on the job, they are allowed to stay out -- to come in only three days a week when i said -- that is because we are having a tough time getting the unions to agree. tech is having a tough time it's as workers. city people are having a tough time with its workers. what we need to do is look at ourselves and say what can we do to make it better. >> you have seen san francisco with a lot of setbacks. it is the pandemic -- has the pandemic been the worst? >> has been the strangest. we have seen it go up and down pair the financial sector moved out of the city. we have never seen where it is set up like this. we were built on the gold rush per the idea was to come here and tech, we mine for gold and we struck it rich. we have a lot of empty mineshaft now. they are all built for office space. that even biotech.

you go to south san francisco. once you cross that line, they are exploding with biotech. in emeryville, biotech paired, tech we built it on facebook, airbnb, salesforce and angry birds. not exactly what you call a steady -- >> unlike what we have seen. we have seen it up and down many times. >> outgoing oakland mayor libby schaaf is getting ready to deliver her last state of the city address. the event is at an affordable housing development in the fruitvale district. the notion that oakland residents have been feeling unsafe now has numbers to back that up in a newly released survey. luz pena talked to residents and community leaders about what needs to be done to turn oakland around. >> the data is in. the results are staggering. three in five oakland residents say the city is on the wrong track. the main concern is crime. >> criminals are hitting retail

businesses. they are coming in. they are taking cash. there taking property. people are afraid to come downtown. people are afraid to be out on the streets. >> the oakland chamber of commerce surveyed over 600 residents with the help of fm three research. polls showed a dramatic dissatisfaction with local government as crime peaks. > as of the mayor also unfavorable. essentially identical to last year and very similar to counsel more broadly. 57% unfavorable to 35% favorable. >> we went to downtown oakland to hear from residents firsthand about how they feel. how would you describe the state of oakland rayna? >> not good. >> born and raised in oakland. she has noticed a concerning shift in the last three years. >> the ongoing crime that was not here when i was a teenager or young adult growing up.

really have any statistics. >> we wanted to see for ourselves so i spent the morning at a popular pickup spot in oakland. there are many cars passing by but i have no idea whether they are here to pick somebody up or just getting from point a to point b. there are no signs indicating a pickup spot. drivers and passengers simply have to rely on each other to be here. i just spoke with a couple of women who say they have colleagues use the casual carpool service prior to the pandemic and they said the pickup location is here across the street. your im again waiting but it is a -- here i am again waiting but there are cars pulling up, slowing down. i have no idea of knowing if they are here for carpool service. i have started to ask people but so far no luck blair is one of the people i asked. >> i used to take it every day and it is sorely missed. >> what you think it is going to take to get it back?

recently put out a statement saying they have received multiple reports of kids operating scooters and electric cycles in an illegal manner and causing unnecessary risk to themselves in the general public. > what is happening in marin county is people have the financial capacity to buy these for these kids and they become trendy. a lot of parents are going out and saying i don't have to drive my kid to soccer practice anymore which is lovely, however, we need to look at the research and decide whether these are safe for our youngsters. >> these are all class one and these are class three. >> karen is the owner of an e bike store. she says to understand the concerns, people have to understand the three different classes. >> eight years ago california established legislation that defined what in electric bike is and defined three different categories. >> all three classes are exempt

the woman told us she did everything she was supposed to do and she canceled her at&t service yet she says the company kept filling her. she knows what she wants. when at&t took off a few of her favorite channels in 2019 she decided it was time to switch. she called the company and asked what she needed to do to cancel her tv and internet service. she followed the instructions and returned all of the equipment using the preaddressed labels. >> at the end of the funk oir asked are you going to hit it within early termination fee now? he said no. you are no longer under contract with us. >> the following month she received this bill for $70 for internet service. >> i found them and told them how could i have internet service when i have sent back to you all of my equipment? >> one month later she received another bill. . this time it included an early termination fee.
