the executive director director of the coalition and a bike owner, she is thrilled by the popularity, but with this rapid rise comes some new challenges. some perhaps do not yet know the rules of the road. >> in the past six months, there has in a real crescendo in the amount of people complaining to us that perhaps people are riding unsafely on the street. reporter: a statement was put out saying they receive multiple reports of kids operating scooters and electric cycles in an unsafe manner causing unnecessary risk to themselves and the public. >> what is happening is that people have the financial capacity to buy them for kid. so a lot of parents are going out they, great.
