tude 5 earthquake rattles the bay area. good evening. i am ama daetz. dan: and i am dan ashley. it was the conversation of the day. ama: some felt it, some did not. dan: it always gets our attention. they say it was a magnitude of 5.1 thousands of us felt at 11:42 this morning. several smaller aftershocks were felt earlier. ama: amanda del castillo heard from more. amanda: from swain artwork to swaying light fixtures. abc 7 news captured the reactions from the earthquake that rocked the region tuesday morning. >> this was a shake and i roll.

the epicenter. if you take a look at magnitude five, you can see some property damage. that is the size of a million pounds causing the damage. fortunately we did not see that damage happen. ama: thank you. dan: it has been a few years since last some we had an earthquake the strong. ama: we looked back and there has been for 5.0 or greater earthquakes in the bay area in the last 30 years. today was a 5.1. 2007, 5 .6. 5.0 -- there was a 5.6 in 2007. then we had a 5.0 and a 5.9.
