this is one we need to worry about. lena: tuesday still happens in the same spot as the morgan hill 6.2 magnitude quake that happened in 1984 it is the largest on the fault. since 2007 shake is centered in alum rock experts believe aftershocks as strong as a 4.0 magnitude quake could still be possible over the next 24 hours. life in will not creek, lena howland abc 7 news. reggie: we looked back and there have been for magnitude 5.0 or greater earthquakes in the bay area in the last two years. yesterday was five point one, magnitude 6.0 was in napa in 2014, 2007 5.6 in alum rock and 5.0 in rockville.

pediatric that occupancy is been the highest in two years with 75% of estimated 40,000 beds filled according to the u.s. department of health and human services. that is a 4% increase from just last week. derek smith two-year-old daughter got rsv and now the whole family is sick. they are facing a surge at ucsf children's hospital in oakland. pediatricians tell us what's different now as older children are getting rsv and testing positive for more than one virus. >> we are earlier than usual and having a situation where our beds are so i came in this morning, i am one of the main inpatient teams. our respiratory unit is full and there were 5-7 kids in the emergency with the respiratory illnesses. sort of a will, of respiratory viruses that are calling on it -- causing illness in kids. gloria: g5.

lena: yesterday we watched as all trains except for those in the train to came to a complete stop for five minutes immediately following the earthquake just to make sure it wasn't followed by an even larger quake. trains were then forced to slow down by about 15 minutes while crews could do visual inspections. take a look at this video from swinging artwork to swing like fixtures. i want to show you some of the videos capturing moments and reactions to the quake that rocked the region yesterday morning. the earthquake took place on the calaveras fault. we asked a seismologist how it differs from the more well-known san andreas fault. >> the calaveras moves slowly. it moves less often, releases less energy. but it seems to have the smaller

a woman claims her father may have killed as many as 70 people. this woman also claims to have helped her dad get rid of bodies. jobina: it is a stunning story this morning. the fbi searching for the potential victims that may have been killed over 30 years ago. or over a 30 year period i should say. a woman who is now 53 came forward claiming her dad females and transients from the omaha, nebraska area. he then killed them and says as a child she helped him dump the bodies at the bottom of a well. cadaver dogs were sent out to the farmland that the family used to own. >> did bring a couple of cadaver dogs, the cap denver dogs looked in their -- cadaver dogs looked in there. they did indicate in the area. not going to say if it was right over the well or if they did indicate in the area. jobina: he died in 2013.

at grand canyon. the group was on tour when the elevator stopped working. one man right in the group had to climb the emergency staircase to go get help. >> we had water to begin with and they brought us down food. they finally decided that besides myself, my wife, the toddlers and the baby, there is no way in the world hooper going to be able to make it up. kumasi: oh, goodness. so the rest of the group ended up staying the night in a hotel suite located in the cavern while the crews worked to fix the elevator. that didn't work so they had to use police to hoist the group up through the elevator shaft. this is my nightmare. starting today san francisco unified teachers will have access to a call center to answer questions about paycheck issues.
